I have the dash set in sport mode with the mph and g forces shown. When I get a phone call the center screen says phone connected. The screen will not go back to the other screen when the call is over. I manually put the screen back where it was. Is this normal???
We had a 3 hour drive from the dealership after picking up my Stingray. After two hours of driving the XM radio randomly changed channels and the A/C window on the screen kept popping up and down. Stopping and shutting the car down and restarting did not fix the issue. I will be contacting the dealer for resolution. Also drivers seat had exacto blade marks on it. Will have it addressed as well.

1. infotainment system, Radio randomly browses, A/C turns on and off randomly, Seat heater, A/C randomly turns on and stays on.
New Infotainment unit has corrected the problem so far.
2. Seat had cut from Exacto Blade. Seat cover replaced.
3. Paint runs on roof behind Targa top and divets in mirrors. Not yet repaired
4. inner front fenders partially cleared, underside of hood not cleared and uneven. Paint shop stated this is normal as they looked at another 2014 Stingray and it has the same issue. I feel this is unacceptable for the price we pay for our cars.
I have a request for those of you that have received your Stingrays. If you can check the front fenders and look at the section that the hood closes over to see if it is cleared partially cleared or a matte finish. Also the underside of the hood anywhere if it is cleared at all.
Thank You
PS: opened two tickets with ChevroletCustomer Service with no call back or assistance

I took the C7 on my first road trip. After stopping for gas the first time the car starting making a rattling noise when I accelerated. Thought I paid for premium gas and got low octane. Turned out the belt tensioner was bad that was causing the noise as well as A/C issues.
Brought it back to the dealership as soon as we returned. Took them a couple days to find the problem and get in a new tensioner. Been working fine ever since.
just picked up my c7 z51 conv. Does anyone have a hopping or bouncing or thumping when making a sharp turn. Example, pulling out of garage and turning steering wheel to the max. I had the same thing with my 05 c6

Many threads on this. Quite normal due to the suspension geometry.

According to the owner's manual on page 10-62, tire chatter/hop is normal at slow speeds and sharp turns. Nothing to worry about.

For those just getting their Vette and where it is still cold (below 45F) that GM "it's normal" statement really doesn’t cut it when you take your friends for a ride and they hear what sounds like your car is falling apart!
Have faced this since early October when I got mine. Lots of info floating around on the Forum as to why, like it is poor design of Ackerman steering geometry. From my observation and Forum comments here is what I think it is, especially with a Z51, in order:
1) Tire compound at 45 F and below. Folks who switched to all-season tires say it was eliminated or reduced. One early moning I pulled out of the garage when it was about 40F - chatter. Later that day it reached 80F and I purposly backed out of a parking place with full lock-no chatter!
2) The C7 has a 2 foot tighter turning radius than my C6. My partial solution to the issue is when it is cold do not turn as tight!
3) Ackerman geometry is probably a factor and is proably what helps the C7 reach the 1.08 “G’s” we all like to quote and feel!
I put a picture summary of the possible effects on my web site so, in case you turn to sharply when it is cold and have a friend or wife in the car you can explain that the car is not falling apart and "all will be well when it gets warm!" See PDF on my web site: netwelding.com/reports_vette_info.htm
I see that for sure. For the most part, everyone else has been supportive. I don't think I ever said anything about a lawsuit. Talking to a lawyer and a lawsuit is quite a different matter, and a huge leap (and assumption). Lawyers provide many services; but a lawsuit is the very last option in any conflict. His life must be perfect and has never needed legal consultation
I had a similar issue with my C7's rear bumper fitment and the dealership took care of the problem. Even now, there is an extremely slight step so it isn't 100% flush, but its so small that I am not worried about it. Furthermore, its MUCH better than before so I am happy. I don't expect cars to be 100% fit from every corner.
At one time or another, it's happened to most of us. It's usually cleared the next time you get in and start the car. Sunday for the 1st time, mine locked onto 'one' song on my iPod. Fortunately it would turn off so I happily listened to the 4 trumpets for a while . When I started her up again all was fine. It's the only time in 7500 miles it messed up. I'm not worried.

At 1800 miles, mine has done this at least a dozen times, and as you stated it resets when you restart the car. It also appears the lights in the controls on the wheel do not light when the controls aren't working.
I've held off taking it to the dealer in hopes of the solution being known by now.
Today I opened an official Customer Service Request for paint correction. The car, rec'd via motor freight 3/21, has EXTENSIVE orange peel on all panels. Not minor, MAJOR. I have officially requested GM's participation to correct this issue thru wet sanding or other means. Will keep everyone advised as to final resolution.
The Corvette Orange Peel problem is major. I checked the local dealers (I bought mine out of town) and they all have the problem.
I have built quite a few street rods and restored antiques. If I brought one of my restored cars with this much Orange Peel, I would be laughed off the field.
This is much worse than "Normal" Orange Peel on other modern cars.
I would like to have a resolution.
