So I can't park next to your Vette unless I'm in what you deem a worthy vehicle? If I came across you messing with my valve stems you'd be lucky I would only arrest you (as an officer of the law) for destruction of property. In my state if it's $250 or more, it's Felony Destruction of Property. Or tampering with my vehicle's safety or road worthiness could lead to other charges. I see nothing wrong with the picture you posted, but you do not come across well posting this as a "moron" who parked next to you. And before you tell me to shut up because you don't care what I think, maybe you shouldn't post threads if you don't like people telling you they don't agree you.
What an idiotic post. I doubt the poster is even actually a LEO. If he was he would know that loosening/removal of valve stems (as THE OP stated, not the other poster who talked about cutting them) is not destruction of property. It permanently damages nothing, just removes the air in the tires until it can be refilled.
So, unless this supposed LEO (6 total posts, no personal info....) can prove that the air in his tires has a value of more than $250 - which is hard to do since it is free most places or costs maybe 25 cents at the fill machine - then his post is full of, well, hot air!
Merry Christmas, everybody!

Reason: addl info
Sounds to me like you should start drinking decaf. Save it? Really, why? So the guy parks next to you, his right, free country. And because you don't like it, you get to pour coffee on his car? B.S. man, all I have to say.
YES. Free country, so I get to retaliate. It was hot and sunny that morning too, so the coffee baked in real fast and real good. On the bright side, it probably provided the oxidized, rusted paint on his POS ''76 Dodge a layer of protection against the elements.
The composite panels will shrug off most light door taps, unlike an aluminum panel car.
But being a low car, widebody, and flared fenders it is a matter of time before a costly impact occurs, hard enough to warp or crack a carbon fiber piece. If you have a black car, you probably won't notice until the next detail.
To obsess is to die a slow death though. If you are an obsessive type it is best to learn to let go emotionally, and it doesnt cost any money to do so. Installing cameras and such will just pull you deeper into obsession and further away from enjoyment. Been there myself. There is a lot of hate out there.
I like to imagine, that if a vette driver was sentenced for a parking lot rage incident, the powers would have him drive a miata for two years, as part of the plea bargain to avoid hard jail time. Then at the end of two years, he's magically become a well adjusted human being. Something is different about him. Maybe because he doesn't wear any more corvette logos on his clothes. Or maybe, instead of being fully emotionally invested in a car, he spent his energies on improving himself to the point where he can drive anything and be confident.
The thing is, this stuff happens almost every time, with every nice car I've owned. One time I parked a ZR1 in the last spot at Meijers, up against a curb, at least 25 spaces from the nearest car. When I came out there was a clapped-out pick-up parked over the yellow line, in my spot, about 12 inches from my car. Ever try to get into the drivers seat of a Vette, from the passenger door?
Luckily, I had a valve-stem loosening tool handy...
It only takes a bb. Unscrew cap, insert bb into cap. screw cap on until u hear the ever so slight hiss. BUT...we would never engage in any sort of activity like this. Actually, someone did this to my mustang when I was 16.
If you park 1/4 mile from any other car or store, you will come out to find a pos parked 8" away. People think they are funny.
...and some people like YOU don't understand that it wasn't ABOUT my "Corvette". It was about some ahole who deliberatly parked his POS car 1 FOOT away from my "nicer" car. ONE FOOT AWAY. Meaning he literally had to squeeze out of his car door, when he had a hundred other spots closer to the front door of the store to park in. So, he parked that way for the SOLE PURPOSE of trying to **** of the owner of the nicer car (me). So, got exactly what he had coming to him.
I laughed the entire time I drove away from his coffee covered car, just like I laughed at your reply above.
The good news here is that karma will eventually take its toll.
Make sure to come back and complain when your car gets keyed.

Hmmm. well, depends on how you think Karma works........... maybe karma was initiated by the original close parker and delivered by the responder...............
I do believe in karma, but I also believe in giving karma a helping hand..............
Hard to believe that in one breath people are calling the public jerks and then discussing letting the air outta peoples tires.....
Ironic.......yeah I know flame away, no bother to me.....

Wow, interesting judgmental "holier than thou" attitudes from folks who have not been there and experienced the deliberately hostile actions some of us are describing here.
Have you ever had to climb into your Corvette thru the rear hatch because other cars deliberately parked close on both sides? I have.
One fact of life about bullies in general or wanna be parking bullies is that they will continue to act out until someone stands up to them. Most are cowards, thinking they will never be caught or confronted.
The point here isn't about "getting even" per se, it's about making them think twice about the consequences of their actions so it doesn't happen to the next guy - which might just be you two judgmental critics..........
PS -
A question for you folks - what would you do if you were coming back to your car and actually saw folks parking so close to it that you could not open the door and get in? Would you just stand back and meekly watch until they had walked away, or would you speak up and assert yourself? I thought so........ When you arrive after they have already parked, I believe it is appropriate to send a message that such behavior will not be tolerated. If you choose to meekly accept other peoples hostile acts I feel sorry for you. Neville Chamberlain and many others have learned that hard lesson, at the expense of those who followed.

I love psycho-babble. You've gone pretty far out on a limb in suggesting that Corvette drivers need to drive a Corvette to maintain their confidence. That's painting with an extraordinarily wide brush, one you probably should be careful wielding. With such opinions of Corvette people, this is probably the wrong forum for you. Good luck with that.
Merry Christmas

The guy in the chopper has got to be extremely angry. He flew over to the Depot to get some finishing nails and this happens.
I once parked my C5 like that helicopter right up to the curb. Some unmentionable in a Ram pickup thought it would be cute to park over the line into my spot. It was really tough getting in my car as I had backed in.
The OP should have no problem with how that Buick was legally parked. At least one side of his car was protected. My brother parked out once and someone sideswiped him at probably 30 MPH and took the side off his car.
Anyways. There have been actual sociological studies done on behavior in parking lots and why we make the choices that we do.
If I remember correctly, an unsuspecting driver enters a large, near-empty lot with only 2 or 3 other existing cars in it. The result, more often than not, was that the driver would park within 2 spaces of one of the existing cars even though they had literally hundreds of empty spaces to choose from.
When asked why the driver chose that particular spot instead of parking farther away, they rarely had an answer. It turns out that they just did it without really thinking about it. In other words, it wasn't a conscious decision, but rather, could be explained by our instinctual pack mentality. Humans are social animals after all.
The person who parked (legally) next to your Corvette wasn't trying to **** you off, IMO. I seriously doubt that it was jealousy. He couldn't have cared less about your new car or how much it costs. Sorry if this isn't the reaction that you were looking for.

Nice to hear your opinion, good that you disagree amiably. You may be right, but it's happened many, many times before, so, while its possible, I doubt that we're talking about someone who was oblivious to the whole thing. Nobody walks the entire length of a large parking lot to park with a remote group when there are 250 closer spaces available near the group of hundreds of cars closer to the building.
Have a Merry Christmas
