I'm 102 and I have been at event code 4000 for a week and per chevy chat it is still at 4000; however, OnStar did wake up this morning and the car now has a total of 2 miles on it with 19 mpg. Hey not bad mileage for only two miles. Still have 100% on my oil life but some one need to address my right rear tire....... it has 33 psi while the other three have 31 psi. smile. The car still shows to be at BG but I assume it was kicked off this morning. Labor pains are getting worst.
My tire pressures are concerning me a bit too. 33 all around except front left is 31. It has gone from 34 yesterday to 33 last night and now 31 this morning. However the remaining 3 tires have dropped as well from 35 last night to 33 today. Since all 4 essentially dropped about 2 pounds I'm hoping it's just temperature related.

Wonder if they address this before shipping?
I'm not too worried. It could be that one tire is in the sun..... who knows. I'll keep an eye on it when my baby gets home.
Per my memory 4B00 is bayed and 4D00 is sometimes used to indicate hold, seems to be used regarding QC. These status changes are inconsistent, which could be why Chevy Customer Service no longer puts them in their posts.
I will repeat my plea: when taking delivery request the Complete Status Report. It will be at least 2 pages long and sometimes spills over to a third page.

You are right. In my initial chat I asked for status & event code. They replied with only that it had been produced and gave me the VIN#. I had to ask again for the event code and specific status. They then told me the "4000" status. I am taking my 2014 C7 to the dealer tomorrow for service & will get the On Star on the Z activated while I am there.
My tpw 7/6/15 car has been built, #429 and my dealer says I'll have it in a couple weeks.....
Wow...I was at the plant on 07/02/15 and again on 07/06/15 doing the buyers tour and watched my LB Z06 being built...my vin is 474 so yours was only 45 .... can't recall what was the color 45 cars ahead but the immediate sequence before mine was several BSMs and prior to that was TRs... they all looked amazing, even when you start the tour and all they have is the frame, console, and the only color is the trim around the floor board
Per my dealer my 2016 convertible built on Monday or Tuesday is 'in transit'. I'm not 100% confident that when they say in transit that it agrees with my interpretation of in transit. I should know in a couple of days as it is a fairly short drive to Ohio.
My 2016 was also built 6/22-6/23 my dealer told me they would not know when it is shipped until they get their invoice. will call me at that time
I have come to the conclusion that "In Transit" starts with the water test and continues until a day or two after the build arrives at the dealer. I recall seeing posts not just on Corvette forums from people whose vehicle was parked in their garage and still showed as "In Transit." It is only frustrating when trying to do a dealer trade to avoid the retail order roller coaster, otherwise it is just one of those things.
For the record I checked my car's location twice today.
@9:30 a.m. and @ 2:15 p.m. (11:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Bowling Green time)
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had moved from a small lot behind the factory to a much larger one adjacent to the car haulers. I'm going to check once more today at 7PM to see if it is in the same spot, or hopefully on the road. Here's the map view from yesterday and today so you can see what I'm talking about:
Yesterday:
Today:
Google Map of the area with arrows showing position 1 yesterday and 2 today:
Also my tire pressures were back to normal, confirming that it was indeed due to a temperature fluctuation.
Dave ,don't you think that the sr 22 blackbird drone would be better suited for this covert mission. The sr 22 could fly high enough no to be detected by b/g and we could see just how many cars are head away in the b/g lots.

Actually, there are two different systems. The one that is/was available to the public shows 4200 In Transit as soon as the car comes off of the line.
The system that the dealers see has all of the incremental steps between 3400 and 4200. Including 4B00 Bayed. On that system, it does not show 4200 In Transit till it's physically on a truck that has left the yard.
If you have a dealer who is not used to looking up hundreds if orders a week then he may not realize the difference between 4200 and 4B00.
I thought most of the cars were stored directly in back of the Plant in the large lot, about center of the points of the arrows in your picture. When I was there for my Buyer's Tour on 6/25, the lot in back of the plant had a lot of cars in white wrapping. I think Kevincol had a shot of that lot between some trailers showing the same lot.

That's what I thought too. It's even more mysterious now because this is the most recent location:
That is either inside the factory or just in front of it. I'm going to check once more later tonight to see if anything changes.

Is the Complete Status Report different than the PDI checklist? I have a Z51 Coupe which was built on 6/29, and will ask for the Report.
Do you have a sample or know what is contained in this report.
My guess is the cars are being lined up for loading. I wonder if location 1 was the Cadillac holding lot?
PDI and Status Report are completely different. The complete status reports lists each change along with the date and time and something else which I will look for tomorrow. I believe only the ordering dealer can get that. It has about 20 or 25 status changes per page. Trying to follow it in context of what you learned while tracking your build is worth the price of admission.
Called my dealer and they enrolled me. Then I created an OnStar account. Car became live yesterday.
Thanks, I contacted my dealer to see if they can do that for me. I thought I essentially did it via the OnStar web site... Guess I will find out tomorrow.

Did you do the photo album package? If so why haven't we seen the couple that NCM give you? Come on man.. share the love.

It has to be activated by the dealer. They have access to this through one of GM's systems.

I checked for the last time for today and it was still in that location. It's intriguing for sure.
