That floor treatment is stunning. What's that called and how is it installed?
Thanks, Bill Ingram
Thanks Bill.... it is known as a Metallic Flame Floor and is a special process used by a local firm called Classic Garage Floors. We are personal friends with the owner, Don Reah, and he uses our photos for his advertisements/flyers and our floor/'verts are "wrapped" on his trucks... he gave us a price for the upgraded floor that we could not refuse....smile.
We had a previous custom floor done by him when we built our house but decided to take Don's offer, especially since he also filled in those ugly expansion joint cracks as part of the deal.... needless to say we are very pleased with the result. It is a hoot when people first step into the garage as they think it is still "wet"... ha ha...
Below is a picture of the original custom floor.... also very nice.... LK
Administrator savewave was kind enough to let us try a sub-section for Convertibles/Roadsters/Drop-tops or what ever you want to call them as a sticky for a month to see if their was enough traffic to justify it's existence.
My own experience has been frustrating trying to find info that applies to verts only and having to sift thru hundreds of posts trying to find a owner with a soft top car to chat with. Let's see if we can generate enough posts on here to make it permanent.
I've owned about twenty Vettes and only one was a coupe. When I was looking for my current '14 Z51 3LT M7 MRC roadster, I was flexible on the color but the manual roadster was the only car I considered.
Help me make this work!

I feel you. When I was shopping for my 2015 Z06 my wife said, honey make sure it's an automatic so I can drive it to. Haha haha ok my honey I said. NO WAY WAS I GETTING AN AUTOMATIC. 650 hrsp deserves a manual stick. And wow is it fun to drive.
I'm now completely satisfied.
Bought mine at MacMulkin also, getting my oil change the following week.
Mine doesn’t see winter so stays with summer tires.
If you don't mind, let me know what you think of the MRC recalibration, Thanks
Enjoy
Got the MRC update on Wednesday...yes I picked a nice rainy day for the appointment Before the MRC, on Tuesday I drove on a road that has several railroad crossings and patches. Pretty bumpy but a good test, I drove it in both tour and sport mode several times. Tour mode has always been a little more comfortable than sport but I keep it in sport most of the time. I call Tour mode "wife" mode. In Tour it took the bumps ok a little bit jaring though on some. In sport mode it was really jaring on all as usual, sometimes really uncomfortable. MRC on Wednesday. Yeaterday I drove the same road. In Touring it felt very smooth like the patches and tracks were gone. Just slight bumpiness. In Sport it was a big improvement. Yes you could feel the bumps but no more jaring . It seemed somewhat like the old "wife" mode but firmer and compliant. For me it seemed worth it but if you don't do a before and after I don't think you would really notice the differences.
BTW, it was $350 out the door.

Put her back on the road yesterday, rode about 50 miles with the top down and heat on, great!!! First time using the new Range 8.6 so really the first time in auto for any length of time. Very nice staying in V8 mode. And what do you know, snow today!!! Well, nice weather is close.
Mike, Is the range 8.6 worth it? I pretty much use M all the time including highway driving. Yeah I'm an OLD stick guy

I was surprised of the improvement over not having it. Prior, I very rarely used "auto". But, when I did, I clearly didn't like it. Now, I actually like the auto mode, now I spend more time there than in paddle mode. I think you will really like it as I did. If you do buy it, give me some feedback. Enjoy the ride no matter what you do. I get my 2nd oil change at MacMulkin tomorrow.
Also, I'm an "old stick" guy too.

Just ordered 19 z06 rag top, manual shift, nice to see a rag top group
Congratulations! It's only a rag if you let it be. Just spent ~3hrs changing the "rag" top of my wife's '06 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The new soft top looks spiffy!

Did you do the MRC update too? Last week they had a @143,000 Sebring Orange ZR-1 in the showroom. Did you see it?
