Finally uncovered the Corvette last evening, been covered since mid September when the weather turned here, found an oil like substance where the convertible top meets the deck panel, I have not had a chance to lift the top yet, car cover is clean and dry, this stuff is rather smeary.
It is on both side and runs off to the sides. Anyone see this on theirs?
Anyone on here have thoughts about the FE1 vs. FE2 suspension? I live in Connecticut where the roads get abused each and every winter and it feels like towns and the state are becoming less inclined to fix them each Spring. I'm awaiting allocation for a base vert this week so any thoughts the group have would be appreciated. The car will be an A8 and my driving style is fairly calm, although this will be my first sports car so perhaps that will change...

Good mix of pros/cons in the attached thread. i am pro. i love a 1950's buick roadmaster cushion soft on a cloud ride. just turn the dial from remove fillings/dislodge kidney stones (Track) to Buick Roadmaster setting (Touring). Amazing!
ps; For the 2019 model year, Chevy made software tweaks to the MRC, to make the ride EVEN softer and more compliant in Touring mode. The software was offered as an upgrade to prior years MRC-equipped vettes. I upgraded, shortly after I bought my 17 in March of this year, and it did make the Tour mode softer. Takeaway: Chevy is continually improving the MRC. All they can do with regular shocks is change the supplier.

Mike
What did you cover it with? Was it indoors and heated? Looks to me like you might have had condensation accumulate under the cover over the winter. If so it could have collected in the roof fabric then run off the sides of the car.
Is this the right place to ask convertible questions?
1. How much wind noise from the rear is normal? It’s just slightly annoying and was wondering if anyone else noticed it.
2. What are the audio options? Stealth box in the trunk works ok? Or how about putting something behind the seat as there seems to be more room there.
3. Is it possible to be in a bad mood with the top down? I get an instant grin every time but I’m two weeks in.
