The last thing I worry about is wrinkles in my convertible top. Owned a 67 for 15 years, in the summer the top would be down for days/weeks and it would be hard to latch it but a little while in the sun and it would stretch out. The only wrinkles I worry about is when I see my wife's butt.
Ummm Rick, what's it worth to you for me not to show this to your bride.
Count me in on this thread.
After months of searching for my first Corvette, I join the ranks the other convertible owners with my 3lt w/ twilight blue and FE2 Mag Ride.

I got a question: I was at my Chev. dealer Saturday afternoon waiting to sign the purchase agreement, and make a deposit on a new 2017 vert, when I observed a dealer salesman demoing the C7 vert's Up & Down with a prospect. Here's my Q: The front of the C7 vert's roofline upon closing, fits snug to the top of the windshield frame - as does the rear, fitting flush with the car deck/body. How does the car keep the flushness front and rear? Are clamps on the inside not needed to secure the vert top??

As a 2014 convertible owner, I have to say that the coupe has the more exotic looks against the "top up" vert. But, once that top comes down, ain't NOTHING as pretty or as classy as a C7 convertible...

There are clamps in the front which clamp to the top of the A-pillars. The rear is held down by pressure from the top of the mechanism after the rear is extended down to the deck.

It’s been so long since I ordered my GS I did not remember the front clamps. It has a TPW of 11/27.

Hey, I've got a fast question. Are any of you hearing a "click-click" in the mechanism when raise or lower the top?
I was hearing a very LOUD "click click" on the right side as the top was coming up. I was still on CPO warranty and my dealer, Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL, repaired it while I waited.

My opinion, the convertible top gives a touch of the classic to the exotic body. I prefer the roadster look, top up or down.

That's not normal my friend. As hard as it will be, it sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. However, if they are like my dealer they will send it to local shop that specializes in that kind of stuff.
