I caught a glimpse of a Corvette in my rear view that I missed waving to because I was to busy looking at this lady's *** while she was bent over looking at flowers.
I daily drive my Corvette and there are a ton of them down here in South Florida. I pretty much never wave and certainly don't initiate the wave. I think the whole wave thing is ridiculous. It might be cool for those of you who drive your Corvette's on the weekend and there are not a lot around. But when you daily drive one in an area where there are always a couple on the road, it becomes a chore. The only time I wave is when I run across another Z06 that is modified and sounds good like my car. Sort of a mutual respect on another level. Otherwise, I'm not concerned with the wave.

With the deterioration of the roads in SoCal, I spend more time looking ahead for pot holes and clueless drivers, than I do for other Vettes.
I do wave if I see one in time to do it. If you know about the Wave, do not attempt it when possible, then, you are not an enthusiastic member of the clan! jmho
Didn't know about the wave when I had my first vette, but learned quickly. it adds to the experience of ownership. I'd say the wave back percentage is probably around 80-90% around here.
Lol, don't be so insecure. It's just a wave, dude.
Pot meet kettle. I don't care who waves. You on the other hand are apparently sad when you don't get a wave back.
Not trying to be offensive but by using the word Dudes I imagine you are a millinnenial and therefore part of a new generation that does not know or understand a few things particularly from the past. A different generation with a different attitude. I have loved Corvettes for over 60 years and I am grateful to be able to own one and feel it is something special. When I see another Corvette on the road I will wave and smile because I think we both share a common appreciation for what we have and are enjoying. Other than that I don't wave at other men either. lol.
No offense taken. I totally understand the wave. You guys can knock yourselves out. I just have to laugh though at the people that don't understand not getting a wave back and get upset about it.

Funny my wife and I just had this same discussion on Sunday on our little spin out to Dunkin Donuts. She didn't realize that it was a thing Corvette people do lol. I'll give a little wave and if they wave back great and if not no big deal.
I get a chuckle out of the people that get on their high horse and judge those that try to keep a long-time tradition going. It must be exhausting trying to be so cool and edgy.
Only learned of the wave after buying my first Corvette. For years I've done the motorcycle wave (2016 HD Road King Custom is the current ride), but never saw cage drivers do it. Now that I know, I try to remember. Have to develop the muscle memory.
I wave because I choose to. Corvettes are cool, so why not! Passed a Chevrolet truck the other day and he gave me a thumbs down. I gave him a thumbs up,maybe it wasn't my thumb
Hmm. Don't confuse 'best' with 'good'. I think somebody's best isn't always good. But if you get the best of them... sometimes there will be traumatism to your positive reaction. Its like shock therapy. The brain is electrical and thoughts are as fields, our impressions and observations have far reaching consequences beyond what the conscious mind is able to perceive. Before words communicated ideas and thoughts it was done with facial expressions and animal body language. And I've found with many interactions that is all you need to get the best.
