Went to the track for the first time last night. It was night of fire so the track was packed. only got 4 runs in and first one traction control screwed me over. Next 3 were with traction control completely off. I went 12.5 with tire pressure at 32. Next run i dropped tire pressure to 20psi and came off the line at about 2000rpm, it bogged and i went 12.6 with a 2.19 60ft. Last run i cam out at about 3000rpm and got a 2.0 60ft and went 12.3 @115. The DA was about 2900 last night. A couple more passes and i should be around 12.1-12.0. The car is a stock m7 z51 on stock tires. How are you guys launching to get to the 1.9x 60ft? im guessing about 3500-4000rpms with traction control off and feathering it a little?

A 1.9 60ft would probably get you right there. I believe most of the average drivers are going around 2.0 60ft. Also the DA was a little high. BoneStock, you did very well for the first time out. Hence, manuals are not easy to launch when compared to the A6's. You will find that sweet spot.
When I first went from a stick to an auto in the same car from one week to the very next with no other changes I lost 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile with the auto.
Here's a general guide on how to launch to get your best results.
*Every car is different so find out what rpm will not bog "or" spin, It's better to spin a foot or two than bog.
* Hold the clutch pedal just "Barely" above the point of engagement then let the clutch out as you go down on the gas pedal. With good traction you can just put it to the floor; to much power than walk it down as fast as possible without spinning.
There are other ways to do things but those ways may break or wear on the drive train more.
PS: I would go at least 3 or 4 rounds most of the time bracket racing with the stick at the time.
A friend would out 60 ft. and 1/4 mile "Ranger" using these tips along with a few other key pointers. They both were running the same 405 HP Z06's at the time equipped the same way "AND" they raced the same place, the same time i.e. side by side.

A6 Z51 MR NPP Stock tune and tires. Track sport2 No launch control came off line at idle. Was in race mode and having a hard time doing a burnout in the water box. Would get the tires spinning and at wot would bog for a couple of secs. Lonestar raceway. In the left lane.

Reason: Left out lane

I would use just the track mode then tap the button once to turn off your traction control. I am not familiar with track sport 2. Your car will run at least 11.90's. You should be able to get that on your next time out.

That is because PTM was pulling throttle during the burnout. It was also pulling throttle going down the track. Try it without next time, you'll go faster.

Tried race mode for the burnout and same thing happened
Any of the PTM modes will do that.
Next time just turn off TC, do your burnout, stage the car, and flash the convertor on the 2nd yellow. Run it in "Tr"ack mode.

I feel slow. But I was dumping the clutch with tract on from about 4.2k. Going to try the launch control next time and smooth the clutch out like I did in my fwd cars.
Im the car in the left lane both times. 12.573 @ 112.73
M7, z51, Npp, stock everything including tire psi. Track mode, full traction on.
Nice run.....and not bad on your 60ft. 1.9 60 ft is about what I see the M7 guys going. What was the DA if you could remember?
No idea. Was at Island dragway, which is pretty close to sea level since its in north jersey. Another member here did low 12's I saw in the same exact lane I did these in a very similar car (quillen?).
I keep meaning to get a DA app or to ask someone. But it was friday night street legal where they just stage cars and let them rip. Zero track prep.
Thank you for creating the C7 Fast List! Myself, Will Farmer (old guy on the left), Zack Culbertson & Matt Eastwood have enjoyed trying to beat the times listed. I have less than a thousand miles on this C7/Z-51 auto. 1-LT. On 6/6/14 at Richmond Dragway, after much advice from the two young drag racers, the car ran an 11.64 when we caught a break in the weather that night (listed under "bone stock except tires"). We have been impressed with Snorman's record. Have run an 11.66 on stock tires but hot, humid weather in Richmond, VA makes it tough. Thanks again for taking time to maintain the list.

Timeslip? I'd love to see the 60ft and trap speed.
Thanks! Where are people getting drag radials and wheels for the car. I hate burning my stockers up doing burnouts and still struggling to get better than a 1.9 60ft, and still running a 12.5 when trac kicks on in ia shift. I feel slow now hahaha.
I used a 305/35 Mickey Thompson drag radial and would leave around 2200 rpm out of the hole.I would think any tire distributor would be able to get you a set and they should really help you out on you're 60 foot.
