Has anyone had their dash display go dark? I have just over 1000 miles on my new 2022 C8, and the dash is dark with only a frozen "vehicle raising" box in the lower right hand corner? Any advice? It's Sunday so no dealerships are open. Thank you for any feedback!
I noticed this about 3 months after delivery. I went to a dealer in AZ who said there was data at GM that this was a known thing - had something to do with a separator (I think that's what he said, it was a while ago) process to fix that and that meant a lot of time and work to pull all that front-end stuff off. To fix the paint was not something anyone wants to hear - spray the entire front of the car with no guarantee they could exactly match it. I haven't done anything for about 2,00 miles and it still looks the same.
I have this on both lights, this is the worse one.
Hello Guys, so I had my 2022 LT2 C8 for like 3 months and i have had issues where I open the rear truck and the inside of the trunk lid has HEAVY condensation when I open it. I notice there are like air grilles on the bottom inside of the trunk. Has anyone had any issues like this? Im taking it today to service for oil change and was going to have them look at this problem as well.

I haven't seen this but I live in a dry climate and have a HTC.

Is the carpet damp at all? I suspect the seal is leaking so water is getting into the trunk when driven in the rain or when washing. Then, with this summer heat, or heat from driving, the water is evaporating and condensing back on to the trunk lid as it cools. Just a guess.
2022 HTC - live in Florida, always hot and humid - no issues in rear trunk with condensation. As previously posted, in all likelihood water when washing.
Yeah the carpet was damp but I had left it one time open in the sun to dry up and after that I didnt wash it nor did it rain before looking into the trunk again and seeing the condensation.
Finally got my C8 today and after driving about 50 miles, I noticed the check engine light was on. So I hit the OnStar button and had them run the codes, there were 3 that were triggered.
P0700 IGNORE UNKNOWN DTC No action needed U0402 Vehicle network communication code No action needed
The most important one.
P1967 The Electric Drive Unit is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Motor Control System which monitors and controls the electric motors used to propel your vehicle. Service within 7 days
Then close to my house, I parked the car to set up some settings, but when I hit the D button and applied gas, the car was not moving and I heard a bit of weird sounds. I put it back in park and then drive again, and this time, the car moved. Both times, I made sure the parking brake was not on.
Now I am afraid to even drive the car to the dealership because I'm worried it might further damage the car or I get stuck on the highway on the way there.
I checked for updates and there wasn’t any updates.
Has anyone else dealt with this transmission code?

what the heck is this? Is a code incorrectly being exposed in the software from an upcoming e-ray?!?!
Oh boy. Have had mine about 10 days, at 270 miles, got this today: (I hope it is a software issue or something simple. Really don’t want my second weekend with the car to be with-out the car while is sits in a shop. Acted weird for a few moments when shifting into reverse to get out of garage. Went back to park, then back to reverse. Car kind of oddly rocked a few inches, then seemed to figure it out. I was able to drive around my neighborhood, and change gears, reverse, park. But we shall see.)
TCM - Transmission System
P073E
The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Transmission System that transfers power from the engine to the drive wheels. You may experience reduced power or shifting issues. If the vehicle is continually driven with the check engine light on, the emission controls might not work as well, the vehicle fuel economy might not be as good, and the engine might not run as smoothly. This could lead to future repairs. Service within 1 day
Just as a follow-up. The reflashed/reloaded the controller for this and it resolved it. Dealer said he has heard of this before, and wouldn’t be surprised if there was a “recall” some day with revised software to load. It has driven fine for 100 miles so far after the reload.
OK, This is going to sound a bit picky but here goes. I have a 2022 C8 convertible, Red Mist Metallic. The car is GREAT. Drives like a dream with no problems. It has just over 2000 miles on it.
I washed the car yesterday and everything was fine. After lunch today a friend was looking at the car and he noticed a tiny paint chip right next to the right side headlight. It's tiny but I was still annoyed that I got the first chip in the paint. I went around to get in the car and I noticed an identical paint chip on the left side next to the headlight. Same exact place. There are no paint chips anywhere else on the car (that we could find). What are the odds that in less than one day 2 rocks hit the EXACT spot on opposite sides of the car and chip the paint. I KNOW I'm not that lucky because I played Mega Millions last week and got bupkus! I'm thinking the odds of something like this happening are pretty close to the Mega Millions payout.
Are there any reports of paint problems or body flex issues that might cause something like this?
Passenger Side by Headlight Driver Side by Headlight
Do a search, there are several other reports of paint chips caused by improper installation of the headlights at the factory resulting in the headlights rubbing on the paint. It's a warranty issue -- take it to the dealer to get it repaired under warranty.

Search for GM code P1967. You’ll find plenty of ICE type of info. Including a 2020 C8 TSB. I trust the web more than I trust an OnStar support script read by a huBot.

Yup. My service writer never even blinked when I showed him a fit and finish issue (interference) between the headlight and the body panel. A simple we’ll take care of it statement and they did a very nice job.

There is one problem. This will show up on Carfax as a "minor paint repair". It happened to me on something you couldn't even see.
