Problem #1) A common complaint among new C8 owners. It's the way the door release works. Press and HOLD the button and PUSH the door open before releasing the button. It will work with one press.
I would add “at the same time”….the key is to apply outward pressure on the door at the same time you press and hold the button. If you press the button and then push on the door, it will often get hung up on the latch and take a second attempt. Many of us have had this problem, it’s a technique thing, once mastered it becomes second nature and you will no longer have any issues.
Problem 3. It's been raining every day since I brought it home.
I do not see this as a problem. I drive mine in the rain all of the time. Even if you do not drive yours in the rain, it is an opportunity for you to learn more about settings like your problem #2.

The "Shuffle" button clearly shows up for me when playing music from the USB. See photo. The "Shuffle" button shows up after I "Browse" and select either "Songs", "Playlists", etc. and something begins to play. You tap it to turn it on or off. Play music with Shuffle button showing.

Is yours a 2023? I heard they used a new OS for the 2024's and mine looks slightly different as it's missing that shuffle button for example.
That said I did manage to find it after fiddling around this morning. What I had to do was click an individual song and in that song's menu there's an option to shuffle. It's a weird place for it to be imo, not that it's something I'll be clicking a lot anyways. But I expected to be something like your pic.

Mine is a 2023. I too have to select a song and then see the shuffle button. It will shuffle within a playlist if a playlist is selected first, or within an Artist if you are browsing by Artist, or Album, if browsing by Album. In all cases you must then select a song to see the shuffle button. If you search by song then it will shuffle across all songs. There are pros and cons to this methodology. It does provide greater flexibility with the shuffle feature the way it is implemented, but to your point it may not be intuitive.

Reason: grammar
I took the car (2023 w/ 800 miles) for a drive last week and for some reason looked under the car a couple hours after I got back home. There was about 4 teaspoons of fluid on the ground by the left rear tire. Took the car in this past Tuesday morning and it was diagnosed as follows:
Found some seepage and residual DCT fluid on sheer plate and bell housing, suggesting possible input seal.

This would be the first instance of an input shaft seal leaking that I've seen posted. Most leakages I've seen are casting leaks, output shaft seals, or filter canister seal leaks.
Filter canister or output shaft seal leaks can be fixed without removing the DCT, hopefully it is one of those.

Too bad it wasn't condensation leakage from air conditioner draining.

Goldog
I had a few teaspoons of transmission fluid under the right rear side of the car and it turned out it was just a simple replacement of an O ring for the filter.
Took less than a half an hour to replace the o ring for the trans filter.
i believe there was just a technical bulletin recommending if a customer mentions seeing fluid under the rear of the car look to the transmission filter O ring being in need of a replacement.
lo and behold the cars running great and no more teaspoons of fluid in the garage.
I only noticed it because a friend of mine just did an all cobblestone driveway and I was over his house.
when I came back to visit a week later he told me him and his wife worked very hard to get the transmission fluid stain off his cobble stones. I then checked my garage floor and sure enough I had the same thing as Goldog happening on the garage floor.
I think there is 8 or 10 quarts of transmission fluid so I wasn’t worried.
when the tech pulled the pan it was obvious it had a leak.
easy fix.

A long shot here but does anybody know the history of this 2023 C8 bought on January 25th in Kentucky and sold to a dealer in Kentucky on April 10th? Then a new owner in Kentucky on 8/10 and the dealer got the car back in September. It then made its way to Missouri and a dealer has it for sale with only 450 or so miles on it. I’m thinking somebody had some real issues with this car? Sam
They probably regretted not having Mag-ride? Seriously, that sounds like a huge red flag to me, so unless it was a hell of a deal, I'd just skip it. If it's a great deal, my next step would be to get the service history of that car. Without it, I'd skip it at any price, but that's just me. Best of luck.

Thanks JCtx…..it is a strange one. Maybe Kentucky dealers have to register their cars differently? It also shows the dealer here in Missouri did an oil change on the car fax. Why would they do that on a 450 mile old car? I suspect they did the oil change and the transmission filter change maybe as an extra money grab from GM. It sure wasn’t needed according to miles or time. Sam

often times used car dealers just do an oil change as a standard operating procedure before they put a car up for sale, just marketing basically.

I would call the dealer that took original delivery of the car and speak to the service manager. He can look up the service history and tell you what if anything was going on.
It's rare for dealers to divulge such info unless you can prove ownership of the vehicle. But if you know somebody, they might do it. Unless you're the gambling type, much higher probability that something was wrong with that car than it wasn't, so I personally wouldn't play that hand. Ha ha. But to each his own, of course.
Hello,
I've tried searching around and not sure if I'm being too specific on my inputs. I've had my '23 Z51 since August. Put about 2300 miles on her mostly from driving home to SWFL from NCM. I got a check engine for emissions about 5wks ago. Took to dealer on the 26th of October and it was found to be the module on the exhaust to open/close the valve. They replaced that and then they told me the new one will not communicate with the Fuel Control Module. They have ordered a new one of those and we are still waiting as it is on back order. I haven't had my car for over 4wks now and not sure if they are right or lazy and the tech missed something. Does this make any sense?
