2. When I get a full take of gas…the until empty never seems the same. It one day will show, say 388 until empty. The next time it could be as much as 425. I thought maybe the gas station pump didn’t fill all the way but when it’s in the 300s on full…I can drive 100 miles and the gauge will only go down maybe 30 miles Each time it’s different.
#1 happens to my 23 C8 HTC randomly - attributed to computer glitch that abound with any modern car. I don't like it but accept that is the behavior - the car is a composite of computers and behaves according. Requiring reboots, etc.
#2 the algorithm appears to be based on last known MPG - When I travel around town, it is lower figure. When I take long trip (e.g. 400 miles to Santa Barbara from San Jose), the empty figure is higher. I consider the behavior 'normal' but admittedly a bit confusing.

#1 shouldn't happen, I don't have that problem in my 2020 HTC. If mine can work properly yours should be able to work properly also.

I have a ‘22 so not exactly the same, but:

1. For 14 months when I held button to close top the windows would go down if they were up, too would close, and then windows would close all the way. Then for about a month windows would go down, too would go up, windows would go up, then DRIVER side window would go down two inches. Like you, I’d have to re-raise it but mine raised on first attempt. After a month it went back to “normal”. Don’t know for sure but think it fixed itself after an over the air update.

2. Others have said it but miles to empty is based on previous driving experience. I once filled up and it said something like I had 315 miles to empty. Drove 90 miles on the freeway to a friends house at a leisurely pace and it said 325 miles to empty when I got there. Point is I probably got 16 MPG on previous tank because I was pushing it and closer to 28 on my leisurely trip so it was adjusting to current trip experience and basing remaining miles accordingly. And that remaining miles number adjusts in real time.

It sure would be nice to have an old fashion empty/full gas tank level indication. Whoever thought of the miles to empty needs to find a new job.

I can't believe all the fuss over "ESTIMATED" miles to go. If you don't like the estimate just ignore it and look at the line guage instead as it shows actual fuel remaining.

Why does every little thing NOT as *you* expect things the cause of so much rancor? It's only an ESTIMATE based on previous driving.

Just drive your cars and enjoy them and stop looking for every possible little thing different than your expectations. It's only a car and only a mass produced car that is not as expensive as a BIG SUV fully loaded or even a deluxe pickup truck.

I'm old school and don't trust computers. If I want to figure out estimated MPG, I would rather divide the miles driven by the gallons used on an full tank of fuel to near empty fuel tank even though that has nothing to do with what "Estimated" miles left till empty. There will be a difference anyway between the two estimates but they do come close.

Now you need to do the Hydraulic flush & DCT filter again between 7000 & 8000 miles.

Default I believe Borla is GM approved

Since Borla are OEM option on C8, doesn’t that make GM approved aftermarket products protected WRT voiding warranty?

I noticed on Rick Conti’s YT channel, they mention installing aftermarket Borlas.

My dealer has also said they will install aftermarket products when my C8 arrives. I’ll REALLY test this relationship when I ask them to install lowering springs. …hoping using springs (not collars) will preserve the warranty on my front lift, etc. We’ll see.

Typically GM will not offer a powertrain warranty block for installing an aftermarket exhaust on a C8, typical for preceding Vette generations too. That's assuming the exhaust is installed in the "correct" fashion. Exhaust wise where you get into warranty problems is when you do cats and/or headers.

My C8 was built 8/2/23 and delivered 9/9/23, I absolutely love the C8. Still have not cracked the 500-mile threshold due to installation of PPF/Ceramic coat, weather in PA and work. Mostly likely won't happen until spring of '24. With all the posts about dead batteries, transmissions issues and non-starting vehicles, am I the only one who suffers from the anxiety of being stranded somewhere when I do take the C8 out? I find myself crossing my fingers when I push the "start" button and I always put it on the tender whenever parked at home...Am I the only one?

What's the $cost$ of having them do the oil and filter change?

Just add the towing service to your auto insurance policy. No worries.

I don’t daily drive the C8 so I leave it on a maintainer up on a lift. Every time I lower the car to take it out I manually check for updates before disconnecting the maintainer. I check for updates while the maintainer is still connected and I am on my home Wi-Fi. Roll down the windows if you have an update and check back in ten minutes. Don’t let it go through the circle of death all night while trying to install the update. Sam

Not really problems per-say, but just got my C8 a few days ago. After a few days of driving there's been 2 issues that seem design orientated rather than just needing to be broken in and was hoping for a quick solution.

1. The doors don't open fully when pressing the interior release. It'll do a half open, and I'll have to hit the button again for it to fully open. I read about some people having similar issues online, but it's not a big enough priority to go to a shop asap and was just gonna mention it when I get my first service, but was wondering if there's an easier solution or a setting I'm missing.
2. This is me being stupid, but I can't figure out how to turn shuffle on/off for my usb music. And other settings for that matter though, I just see the play/pause, and some more audio centric settings, but I don't actually just see a shuffle/repeat button like I'd expect to exist. I could just go through my phone, but I like preserving the battery and data if I don't need to waste it. I didn't see anything online about this, so it might just be GM's new system and everyone is using carplay?
3. It's been raining every day since I brought it home.

Sorry if it's been discussed already.

Problem #1) A common complaint among new C8 owners. It's the way the door release works. Press and HOLD the button and PUSH the door open before releasing the button. It will work with one press.
