My saga continues. I’m am now victim to one of the cables breaking on the convertible top. I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s the nancelles pad retracting cable on the passenger side. I had felt like the last two times we took the car out the top was not retracting as smoothly. This time I heard a loud snap and thought, yeah something broke. Went out for our drive anyway. Sure enough when closing it the obstructed alert popped up. I was able to get it closed and secure. I held the pad back and had my wife bump it down until it closed and was secure.
Im trying to take the car problems and bad dealerships in stride but man….this has been the worst car I’ve ever owned so far. If it can’t handle weekend drives I don’t know how I could ever track it.
Welp....1100 miles, check engine light, and pulled the P0700 and P0868 codes from my scanner which leads to a transmission issue. Car/transmission seem fine for now driving wise... Going to make a call to the dealer. Not too happy about this.

It's still a new Corvette just broken in. What gives?
It's funny how if anything the 2023 is way worse in trans failure frequency than the 2022. 4 years and they cant figure it out? I'm suuure 2024 will be different

You can quote me on this, in the end you will get a new transmission. The only question is if they'll go through the fluid flush, TCU change, valve body change first and keep stringing you along
or do a fluid flush and immediate jump to transmission change when that fails
C8 htc z51 3k miles. No audio from speakers. At dealer now and checking it out. Also loud scraping sound form rear brake? Wish I could buy a new car that didn't have problems.

Update on the P0868 code. Check engine light went away as I was driving to the dealer. But the dealer put the car in service mode and was able to retrieve and confirm the code.
Turns out it was low on transmission fluid. They added 0.75L to it and cleared the code. Hopefully no further issues arise. Kind of wish they told me since I would have wanted to have an extra two quarts added to the transmission if I ever wanted to do more harder driving in the future.

Adding the 2 additional quarts for track fill is a different procedure than topping off the DCT fluid. It would still have cost you the same for a track fill then or if you decided to do it now. The track fill is only needed for conditions encountered on the track that you won't encounter during street driving.
With 380 miles on the car, I had a frozen infotainment screen. It was stuck on the PDR page. I did what I saw on one of Conti’s video. Turned off the car, opened the door for 5 min, and then closed the door. When I restarted the car, all was back to normal.
I hope this is the only problem I’ll have with the car.
Yes, that reset procedure seems to cure a wealth of computer-type problems. I do the same thing on my laptop.
Computer problems They have made it so its now a necessity in these modern high tech. times. Love em or leave em. Update them then throw them away when the program is no longer supported and buy NEW again as it never ends$$$$.
"I owe so off to work I go".
Let's go back to old school maybe just a little with just a few less electronics, BCM's computers and PROBLEMS.
Right now it's the cure all to turn off and turn it back on. Reset.
