I have a 2022 Z51 with 12300 on the clock and got the Idle Creep Temporarily Disabled message + CEL's. I think I know why it happened though. As I was coming to a gradual stop and the car was managing downshifts from 3 to 2 where the tac was below 1500RPM, I accidentally knocked my downshift paddle and it downshifted into 1 very abruptly and probably really upset the control module and threw codes P2854 and P2715 Permanent and P0700 Confirmed (checked codes with a reader when I got home). I lost even gears and creep capability. The next morning the CEL is still there but I have all gears and creeping capability. I think I'm going to clear codes and be more mindful. While possibly self induced yet doesn't SEEM to be a further issue, has anyone else experienced this in that type of condition where you might have interfered with the computer's decision making inadvertently?

Everything the dealer has seen to date has been new transmissions based on serial numbers, etc. If the timing is right, I will visit the dealer and take pictures, etc., when they receive the replacement. I did this with the first replacement because I wanted to document that the new trans did not have the same porosity defects; this time I guess it will be to check for potential porosity areas and to see if it, by chance, will be of the newer design.

And, I guess, I get to go through the whole external filter changing regime yet again!

I don’t think you did anything wrong. That should be well within the DCT’s capabilities and tolerances. Besides, it shouldn’t allow you to do anything stupid if it’s outside the shifting tolerances. I’m guessing you should be fine.

I figured as much. The P0700 is still there but everything is fine. I have an appointment with a service department but hoping the codes just clear over the weekend and can cancel the appointment and just move on with life.

Update, CEL's disappeared. Not going to worry about it. If the car is happy, I'm happy.

No, the car is parked in a protected condominium garage. I personally believe it is the high humidity (moisture) conditions in SW Florida. Probably use a water-based glue that gets hydroscopic from the moisture. Never had the issue with my 2014 C7.

Do you use anything to clean the surfaces besides a cloth dampened with water or mild soap solution?

I sold my Jag FType R because the leather dash and headliner started to retract, bubble, and deform. It is a common issue for full leather interiors.

I have a 2024 with 273 miles on it. Got a service engine light and had it taken to the dealership. They've had it for almost 2 weeks. They say they can't disgnose if it is a transmission problem because GM has to develop code to talk to the transmission. Is it me or does this sound crazy? With computers controlling everything now, I would think the diagnostic capabilities would be very extensive. I'm thinking about getting it to another dealership.

The battery replacement probably reset a lot of your settings. Pair it back up.

I ordered my C8 from a Corvette Sales Manager who was on vacation when I picked it up. When I got there to pick it up the salesman who was assigned to my pickup had called in sick and the other sales guys were lost. The sales guy who tried to give me an “orientation” to the car pretty quickly realized that I knew more about it than he did and let me drive home.

If I were you I would get out my manual and go through how to set up the car before I took it back to the dealer. It might save you some time.

I had an electrical engineer who worked on the James Webb telescope for NASA try to fix it using the manual. Couldn't do it

Well I guess I need to go to the dealership...Was driving this morning to a Cars and Coffee event and started getting a message "Limited to 82 mph" on the screen. Stopped at gas station, checked doors, frunk, trunk and left door open for 2 minutes. Still getting message..any thoughts?
