Thank God after declaring the Georgia Lemon Law and an Attorney, GM finally did a repurchase on my 2020 LT2. The sweet thing is my 2021 LT3 Convertible will be on the assembly line 12 July. Hope I don't have anymore issues with the transmission.
Does anyone know if GM has taken care of the water in the front struts on the 2021s?
Congrats to you! I tried to lemon2 BMWs a few years ago. It was quite a hassle and BMW finally bought them back so they wouldn't show up as a lemon on resale.

BLKJAK, congratulations on getting GM to buy your car back. What was the problem(s) with your C8 transmission?
Not to be a nudge, but being a guy who has collected Maserati for 35 years. I'm just going to tell you, Maserati hasn't built a car worth the tires they sit on since 1981. Demise of Maserati was the curse De Tommaso, took a company making high priced super cars to main stream market of sheep. Junk cars ever since.
I have the MC20 on order. V6 Turbo Hybrid. Going to try it out for the hell of it.

So you get rid of 1 lemon and take the chance with GM again. Hope you have better luck this time around.

There is a poll on a FB C8 group page as to how many people have encountered any issues with their C8 since they took delivery. The people who indicated they had some kind of issue - and we aren't just talking major issues - made up less than 5% of the total respondents.
In my experience on social media one or two issues turns into a monumental problem and they really aren't indicative of the experiences of a majority of owners.
Still waiting on parts for Transmission oil pan (still need a gasket.) Been 2 weeks... Case with Corporate is going no where. They won't authorize the powder leak test till after the pan has been replaced.

95% of corvette owners don't post on the internet. So what ever problems you read about online multiply that by a couple hundred and you might be getting close to real numbers.

My Corvette Specialist first thought it was the transmission pan gasket, waited a week for the part and it did not work. Then he ordered a new transmission pan and gasket. It took another week and that did not work either which prompted the powder leak test. That showed that it was leaking through the aluminum transmission casing. Wasted more than two weeks with the transmission pan and gaskets. It then took another week to get a new transmission and two weeks to get it installed. I have confirmed ten members with transmissions that leaked through the casing. I have not verified any leaks that involved the transmission pan or gasket yet. Contact a senior advisor with GM Customer Support and push as hard as possible to get a new transmission. 2021 Model built March 25th.
Not saying it matters. I’d like for people to start posting the year of their C8 transmission issues. I feel there are way more 2020’s with issues. My 21 built in March has all sorts of different parts on the transmission. Different pan design with all sorts of different torque bolts over the standard 6 point bolts that I’ve seen in other pics.
Just thinking out loud... Wondering is these porosity issues stem somewhat from factories/foundries prematurely shutting down and restarting (in a rush) due to Covid problems? Ovens and furnaces not quite up to temps can surely affect processes. Reliable intel I received indicated that's what caused the failed valve spring debacle. The vendor/supplier's tempering ovens were not up to temp during the tempering process. GM applied undue pressure to their suppliers to provide timely delivery of contractual parts and processes. I guess nobody in the customer chain will ever know.

wow that’s interesting. That’s not something simple like adding a strut cover or a new design trim panel. Is that fact? Do the 21s have significant tran modifications from the early C8 models?

Statistical samples usually prove the point being made.
If that is the case Car & Diver along with Road and Track would have huge stories on the car of the year. Most C8s are fine there are exceptions of course which I have compassion for those owners seeking a fix. However, Blogs exaggerate, because of all the arm chair experts.

No one wakes up in the morning and says: "Hey! I'm going to post that my C8 had no problems today!"
Its the same for any online reviews. People rarely post good stuff but they love to vent when upset -- especially when being done anonymously.
