the ones I ordered directly from 2m looked like this. Looks like they added additional heat shielding to them now.

They are around 2" larger in diameter which means ALOT more flow volume than the more inexpensive Gesi and no name options (hjs are 5.75 I believe). This would mean stock volume was approximately .087 ft3 and aftermarket Gesi or 2m about .049 ft3. 44 percent smaller.

In other words you'd have to run a 380cpsi or less sport cat to just equal the flow of a stock cat.

This assumes the length of the cores are the same between stock and aftermarket.

They're not.

Stock...

Aftermarket 1....

So you'd need to calculate that out too.

Note that the above calculations ignore the catalytic core design itself and only speaks to the cell count. There are ceramic cores, metallic cores, spiral wound cores etc as the prices go up.

I actually might... Will check my toolbox today. I know I removed mine prior to shipping but can't recall if I saved them or tossed in the trash. I know at least one of mine was bent though.
*Edit*
I have 1 stud and all the bolts.

Just ordered 2M headers and cat delete.

It looks like I’m going the NA rout and going to do bolt ons to see how low I can get that ET. Without paying The Corvette tax. Well, maybe until I get the point there’s no other option.

Will see how it goes with these mods. Next might be air intake (maybe just the filter ?!?) and ported intake manifold.
Short to mid range goal will be a 10.49 ET
Longer range goal 10.30 maybe with drag pack, light weight brakes and a few other things.

Longer than that will be 9.9 ET BUT… if that takes too long maybe turbo it 😉

BTW….. can’t believe Vararam or someone else has not produced a real cold air/forced air deal 🤔

^^^ for some reason I believe some of the quick and fast NA guys have already done their own.

Going to start my own thread

Started my own thread on NA mods a week ago. I received my headers and cat deletes 7-8 days after my order 😎
Got my price on install from my guy that does all my installs and tuning Redline out of Florida. Ha !! My C7 Procharged car is still going strong and Howard has done a great job on my C7 throughout the years.

For the ones that installed or had someone install 2M headers and cat deletes post up anything positive or negative after ? Drag racers or guys with draft’s … haha that would be great for a stock vs the headers/cat deletes. How long have they been installed and what are your thoughts on a “cheap” header/cat delete situation ? My C7 has TSP headers … the cheapest however they have been worthy to say the least

“cheap” header/cat delete situation. Watch Richard Holdener
. there are several header tests tube size etc. His videos have a wealth of information.

Like I said before, A 1 7/8 header tube with almost a 3" collector, no matter who made it are going to be very similar in HP. 3 runs on the same dyno, vary with the same car. The rest is bragging rights. jmho.

Looks like they have some C8 parts out now, shipping was supposed to start around November 15th.
They got some good "fair" prices, and quality looks good from their pictures. Anyone have further information or first hand experience?

I know that the cat delete pipes that 2M makes/sells is supposed to work with other makes of headers. Anyone here run the cat delete pipes with ARH headers. Not a complete thread jacking, but $400 for a couple pipes isn’t very reasonable….

They will work. Check out the EOS resonated cat-delete pipes ($299) as well since they retain the factory heatshields.

So I installed the 2M sports cats myself with no CEL for well over a month, then it randomly came on. Upon inspection I found that the nuts on the driver side between the header and cat loosened up and caused vibrations which caused the gasket to fail.

I ordered new gaskets and I decided to put it back together without a gasket temporarily until the gasket arrives and oddly enough the CEL did turn off after a about a day of driving it.

With 2M not providing any installation instructions, does anyone know what torque spec should be on these bolts? I don't want to have to tear it apart again.

I got a CEL after almost a year of trouble free driving. Almost every bolt had loosened. Torque to just past bolt break, and back off 1/2 turn. Lock tite would not hurt.

I read the post about gaskets and rings for the bypass pipes. It's still unclear how many triangle and ring gaskets I need to purchase for the 2M 200 cel cats. I will be having a shop doing this and want to make sure I provide them with all parts required so things don't get delayed. Also, any recommendations on less expensive blankets than 2M's $270 set? WTF are blankets so expensive? While the cats may have precious metal, the blankets don't! I know many are running without blankets, if I can score some cheap, I'll use them to hide the ugly *** cat shielding these ship with now.

that's the post I found unclear, but admittedly, there's a lot of words and I have a short attention span . you're talking about the bypass pipes and reusing some parts. For cats (and not bypass pipes), if i want all new gaskets, i THINK you're saying 2 triangle, one O? Or 3 triangle one O?
