I should have clarified. These are the replacement gaskets I bought for my Corsa cat install. Figured the part #'s might be of assistance for some.

Here is my review of these 2M Cats

They showed up after a week or so upon placing the order. There was no order acknowledgment when I put the order so I tried to contact 2M for confirmation and as usual they were full of themselves. No instructions in the box but I had a pretty good idea on how to install them after watching the Paragon CATS install video on youtube.

Now, getting to the install, I must admit, I overestimated myself. When I changed my factory exhaust to aftermarket, it was pretty easy and straightforward. Thought this install would be no different but I was so wrong. IT IS A HUGE PAIN IN THE ***. It is not rocket science and you pretty much know to do but it is the doing that is difficult. The factory torque on the header/CAT bolts and the bottom bolts everywhere will make you cry. After many trips to the parts store to buy new tools, hardware and gaskets, the install was finally completed after 3 days.

The first start up was loud. Now, I am also running the Paragon exhaust and I don't have the valve functionality. Gave it a few revs and it sounded like a race car. Not raspy at all but just loud yet smooth and deep. Took it for a test drive, the cabin noise did go up but nothing crazy. You cannot gauge how loud the car gets just by driving it or giving it a few revs. I told my friend to do a flyby for me and I was shocked to see how the loud the car is now. Best part was that it wasn't irritating at all. The car had everyone's attention in parking lot and it was really nice sounding. All the pops and bangs were a bonus

I've had it for 5 days now and there is still a burning smell in the cabin. I'd like to think its the cats that are settling in.

100 miles no CEL so far. Used the supplied o2 spacers. Love the sound but I haven't gotten used to the drone and increased cabin sound yet. The first couple days the cabin noise didn't bother me so much but I am starting to feel it now. Did it get louder or did the novelty wear off? Idk. I am not sure if I will be running this cats long term. Even though I want to because it is like a thunderstorm on wheels and I'd hate to go through the whole process again.

Great review and thanks for your honesty. Ive had the 2m cats on for 2 yrs and LOVE them w/ the NPP exhaust. Been considering an aftermarket exhaust but it seems coupled w/ the cats, its just LOUD. I don't really want to go much louder, just a little, maybe a different tone so thought of going titanium. Everyone I've spoken to tho said it would be very loud so not sure what system to consider that would give a tad more volume and still give a nice tone. I may just put on some nicer looking tips, actually like the NPP sound w/ the 2m cats.

I am actually thinking about putting back the factory NPP so that I can control the sound but the factory exhaust is raspy

It looks like sport cats with NPP is way to go if you want a little more sound without it being too loud. Any idea what a shop would charge to install sport cats on an HTC?

Based on how long it took me, I'd pay a lot not to have to do it again lol. Maybe someone else that had them installed can chime in.

when I had mine done it took the shop about 6 hours if I remember right. So worth paying for imo.

2M states that they are cooler than stock, so do you really need the blankets? It seems a lot of folks are getting them coated or getting the blankets based on what "we've always had to do in the past" but it may not be applicable anymore. Thoughts?

I'd wrap those things with something just based on how horrendous they look. Mine looked terrible. I don't think you can get them coated. Mine came with a heat shield of some sort that was spot welded in many many different places. It looked terrible. It didn't look anything like the ones from their website. Not sure if I was the only one.

I don't have the blankets and I am running 5-10 degrees hotter. Thinking of getting the titanium wraps from Amazon. Do they trap water and rust?

Looking for some consensus on whether these cats smell. How bad is it from outside/behind the car? Im assuming with windows up, there will be no smell because Ive ran decatted cars that dont smell inside. But it was horrible outside and to load the trunk with the engine on.

Selling my 2M cats. Let me know if anyone is interested. No CELs, just too loud for my liking.
