I sent this to the PVSA show manager...
"I assume you know there are protesters planning to raise a stink on Sunday. They claim they are bringing the media. Best wishes on an incident free show. And thank you for sponsoring them..."
This is what I got back...
"If possible please come to our show, we really need a good turn out .
Tell everyone you know, hell tell people you don't know .
Thanks, Frank"

An antigun extremist group plans to disrupt the DuPage County Gun Show this Sunday morning.
The question you must ask yourself is whether you are going to let a bunch of loudmouths beat down your 2nd Amendment rights. Are you going to be submissive to people who don’t know the meaning of liberty? Are you going to let them ****** your guns away from you?
If you answered “NO” to each of those questions, then you need to be at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton, on Sunday, March 4, at 8:00 AM.
If you really, really care about your guns, be there.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PROTECT YOUR FREEDOM
1. Be at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton, at 8:00 AM, Sunday, March 4.
2. Be prepared to vigorously defend your 2nd Amendment Rights. Refuse to be bullied.
3. If members of the press are there, seek them out, engage them, tell them that you are a law-abiding gun owner and you are sick and tired of being blamed for society’s inability to control the criminally insane.
4. Pass this alert along to all your friends and family, tell them to be at the Fairgrounds on Sunday.
5. Post this alert to any and all Internet blogs, forums, or social media sites to which you belong.
Two dozen protesters picketed Chuck’s Gun Shop in south suburban Riverdale, Ill., calling it a symbol of the problem of gun violence.
“It represents gun shops and gun dealers and gun sellers across this country who are selling military-style assault weapons to ordinary citizens,” Rev. Janette Wilson, Rainbow PUSH Coalition, said.
Organizers with the Bob and Rocco Gun Show in the Waukesha County Expo Center say they're seeing more people this year compared to previous events. Show Director Ron Martin believes it could be because of the national conversation on gun control.
"People get scared they figure something is going to happen,” Martin said. “They want to make sure they get a chance to get it before they ban it.”
Meet the factory reps. Shoot the demo guns. Door prizes and raffles. Truck load safe sale. Special pricing on 100's of guns. This is a must attend event. 20% off Benchmade knives and free engraving.

The village of Deerfield may follow the lead of neighboring Highland Park and ban the kind of rapid-fire weapons that were used in the Feb. 14 mass shooting at a Florida high school and recent massacres at a church in Texas, a Las Vegas concert and an Orlando nightclub.
A proposed ban of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines received unanimous support from Deerfield trustees Monday night in the first formal action taken on the measure.
Democratic governor candidate Chris Kennedy on Tuesday called for state pension funds to pull investments in gun and ammunition companies, and he criticized primary rival state Sen. Daniel Biss for not raising the idea first.
Standing outside the James R. Thompson Center near where Chicago police Cmdr. Paul Bauer was gunned down three weeks ago, Kennedy said state government employees including lawmakers undermine efforts to “stem the flow” of weapons because their retirement money is invested in index funds that include firearm company holdings.

“We’ve been doing a lot of homework, doing a lot of research on this. And I have decided that I am vetoing that bill,” Rauner said. “It’s just not right. It’s unnecessary, burdensome regulation. It’s redundant on top of existing federal regulations, it’s crushing to our small-business owners and creates bureaucracy that really doesn’t help make our community safer.”
The measure would have required gun dealers to get licensed in a way similar to auto dealers and Realtors. A simultaneously passed trailer bill set a $1,000 cap on licensing fees within a five-year period.

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Senate passed a series of gun control measures in quick order Wednesday just hours after members walked out of the Capitol in solidarity with high school students around the country protesting gun violence...
But Senate Democrats still kept the pressure on Rauner, sending to his desk House Bill 1468, which would mandate a 72-hour waiting period following the purchase of an assault weapon. It passed 43-15.
Another pair of bills passed with amendments, meaning they head back to the House before they can hit the governor's desk.
The first, HB 1467, would ban bump stocks and trigger cranks, passed 37-16. An attached amendment also would allow municipalities to enact tougher assault weapons measures than state law.
The second and perhaps most controversial legislation, HB 1465, which would raise the age a person can buy an assault weapon from 18 to 21, passed 33-22.
And before that the were complaining about police brutality with or without guns and now they want everyone to disarm so that police/govt are the only ones with guns.

Might attend this (Sheridan, IL)...
Basic Defensive Pistol Q&A
400 rounds of Instruction, this class was designed as a follow up to the IL Concealed Carry. The class is 3 hours long and is conducted at the TriggerFarm® Range. It reviews the basic safety and shooting fundamentals, reviews and incorporates drawing and shooting from the holster, speed reloading, tactical reloading, shooting and moving and shooting from cover.
At the end we shoot the challenge course which allows you to use all the aspects of the class in a fun and competitive way if you choose, otherwise challenge yourself.
What type of handgun should I use for the class? Typically a full or mid size works best the ammo capacity allows for more shooting and less reloading, your fingers will appreciate it!
