GATS is the best. Under promise and over deliver is always a winning combination in the business world!
I have bought 80% of my guns there and for the most part, they have the best prices around. It will be even better when the remodeled pistol range opens up.
I rode the bike out to the On Target Range in Crystal Lake this afternoon and put some rounds through the new M&P Shield and my CZ-75B. It's a really nice facility, very friendly staff and a great range, however their new gun selection is pretty light. I'll definitely go back there to shoot again soon.

I probably should have mentioned that. It's awesome. Very accurate, manageable recoil and a nice crisp trigger. I am definitely glad I took Jimmy's advice and added this one to my collection.

Frank,
Glad you love your S&W Shield .9 mm, I knew you would, the gun is a great CCW semi auto that only weighs 19.5 ounces empty and is about 8/10th of an inch thick.
My experience with my S&W Shield .9 mm that I bought one year ago from GATS, is exactly how you describe it.
It will be great one day when we can quit having our 2nd Amendment rights violated, and we can carry/conceal the Shield whenever we want.

18 weeks turned out to be 3 weeks. I picked up the Shield last night.
Frank, where did you hear 3 weeks? I was at Article II this AM and they have no timeline whatsoever. They don't even have the requirements of what to teach yet. Just wondering if I missed something? Regards, Jack

Yes.
He was told it would take that long to get the S&W pistol, not CCW training.
I went into Dale's guns in downtown Marengo a few months ago. It was pretty small with a limited selection. I drove by Marengo guns one time, but didn't stop.

Here is a real gun review of the Smith & Wesson, Shield, in .9mm, by the very best, Hickok .45.
Just an FYI, the ugly gray grip added onto the gun in the video IS NOT how the gun comes or appears. Its a solid black normal grip, not that fugly grey one that someone added onto the Shield in the video.

ALERT - North Shore Townhall Meeting on Municipal Gun Regulations - Thursday, June 13, 7:00pm
Several communities trying to pass so-called "Assault Weapon Bans"
After the passage of IL HB-183 (amended to be CCW) through both houses of the Illinois Legislature, Rep Drury and Lt. Gov Sheila Simon have issued statements urging the passage of local firearms bans during a window of time provided for in the bill.
Simon and Drury are promoting bans on semi-automatic firearms that you own under the guise of "Assault Weapons". This would likely include popular sporting and defensive firearms like the AR-15, and standard-capacity magazines for all kinds of handguns and rifles. Law-abiding gun owners could face confiscation of their firearms or criminal prosecution.
At this time, Deerfield and Highland Park appear to be considering new local ordinances, what about your town?
If you live in the North Shore area, please come to this Townhall Meeting to learn what you can do to stop this effort to ban your firearms.
What: North Shore Townhall Meeting on Local Gun Regulations
Where: Vernon Township Community Center, 2900 N. Main Street, Buffalo Grove
When: Thursday, June 13, 7:00 pm
Marengo Guns is moving into a bigger facility at the other end of the strip mall. Not sure if new store is open I saw them working inside last week.
