And yet IB still wants to upset those who have been here for years which in turn drives traffic to sponsor's ads? Makes no sense.
To be honest, it makes no sense because your statement and conclusion is wrong. IB does not "wants to upset" members. It has been explained why the changes took place. I understand you don't accept it, but this is not the forum to drop political remarks or be unrealstic.

Again, the majority of those who provide feedback are usually providing criticism. People tend to complain more than they praise. Not just for CorvetteForum. Just because there are comments against the change does not mean that's the majority.

Again, keeping forum members happy with ease of use should be IB's first concern. Seems like the only way to get anyone to listen is to drop off hand comments like that.

I don't think IB did it to purposely upset people...not at all....I think they are trying to keep up with technology change.
Constructive criticism is feedback.
Success lends an open ear to criticism, without bias.
We as members will never know if a majority of the members here like the change.
Reading through this would lead one to believe that there were more complaints about new devices acting wonky than current users complaining. I hate to sound like a doubting Thomas, but I don't recall any off topic threads complaining about the previous configuration. So I have to wonder who is it that asked for the changes and why does their request trump the requests to leave it alone? Yes, people do tend to complain more than praise so where are all the complaints that drove this change?
I have been posting You Tube from copy address and paste for a long time as well. Now it doesn't work anymore as far as I can tell. Get nothing in the reply post or original post and a blank page with just the You Tube post. There must be a clue somewhere but how do you find it.. A mess to try.
And while we are at it maybe they could improve their search as it is awful. I can search google and get better more focused results than anything here on CF. Usually goes right to CF posts i'm looking for.

Please provide a specific example, to a specific post, where YouTube video is not working. I'm not aware of any reports of YouTube videos not working and my own testing shown expected results.
By the way, if you're simply copy/paste the YouTube address in the post and do a preview, you're only going to see the link. The video does not get fully embeded until the post is actually submitted. That is normal and how it worked using that method.

I know that, pretty hard to send you a actual post as there is no sign of the You Tube on it, either the address line or the bigger header when you actually post it. Here's one, lets see if it works here.
Nothing ........Cut(copy) & Paste here just a big gap...
Clear your browser's cache, disable any plugins and/or try another browser. There is no issue with the YouTube loading as you can see with my screen capture:

There is an issue with You Tube loading. And the link on you screen in your reply(capture) does not work either. I have seen others posting where the YouTube link is not posting also. I cleared my IE cache and do regularly so that didn't work. I'm not going to change my browser unless I find it at fault and not just for CF since it didn't start till CF made their changes..I hope you investigate further on your end. If it doesn't work anymore with IE browser would like to know.
PS. I sent and email for a test and copy and paste to the email worked perfectly in the email. It may be on your end we have the problem

It's a screen capture. It's not a link. So it's not going to do anything but be a static image.

If you're not willing to try another browser or work with us, the options are very limited. At this time, there is no known issue. If we cannot replicate the issue, then it's difficult to do something about it.

A little help required for a dummy please .---- before I wear out the test section .
How do I bold (wrap) just a section of text copied from elsewhere without rewriting the whole sentence or paragraph using the 'bold' function at the top of the reply box ?.

Thanks .
You could highlight the section and then press the B button for Bold in the toolbar. Or you could manually add the B tag to the start of the content and the ending /B tag at the end. Bold If you're looking this quote to figure it out, ignore the noparse as that is used to prevent the forum from executing the tag.

This is completely different situation.
Ok here's where it is now...someone on CF replied to me they could see my YouTube post even if I couldn't after I posted it. Then when they reply to my post(as a quote reply) that they can see it, I can see the YouTube address line in my Quote they are replying to.
I mean like the YouTube post I couldn't see when I posted it they are seeing, and then I can see just the address line when they quote me a reply, and it works....and takes you to the YouTube I posted before the reply....something weird going on is all I can say.
Edit- And also when someone else posts a YouTube I can't see it, but if I reply to them, then I can see their YouTube address line in their quote above my reply that I couldn't see in their original post , and it works then too.

Nothing weird going on. When anyone replies to a post that has a YouTube video embedded, the video is not embedded a second time. Instead, the link is simply shown in the reply.
Like I said, it appears you have an issue with your browser. As you see, others are seeing YouTube videos.
