The controller and the car break in are unrelated. The C8 is programmed to prevent higher rpm’s until after 500 miles then releases automatically . The controller is simply calibrating the gas pedal to the throttle body in the car. Any efforts to over accelerate are protected by the factory software GM installs whether you have this device or not .hope that helps. I asked all these questions prior to buying mine👍🏻
The C8 does NOT prevent higher rpm's before 500 miles, it just displays a lower redline on the tachometer. Attempts to over accelerate are prevented by the rev limiter which prevents rpms over 6500. The amount of torque the C8 produces in lower gears is reduced for the first 500 miles. You are correct, though, that this device doesn't alter the protections/controls in place in the factory software.
You can think of it this way: all the throttle controller does is lie to the ECU about how far your foot has the gas pedal pressed down.

You need to enter your email address at checkout first, then enter the discount code DLXVETTE and must select USPSas shipping option
let us know if that solves it should.

Hi, for double savings try using code ZERO60 in the Discount box and DLXVETTE in the other box at checkout. You first must type your email during checkout for the above savings to activate. Enjoy the controller like many of us now are👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Shoot, I ordered one earlier today and paid $207 and added over night shipping because this thread has got me so damned excited to git it a try. And I need a weekend project to work on.
My controller is on the way - supposed to arrive Monday. It just occurred to me that the controller also works when you have the car in reverse. Anyone notice any negative effects when in reverse?

if you set it to Sport 10, or Ludicrous, you'll find it hard to modulate the throttle. In Sport 4, where I normally drive, smooth starts aren't a problem in first or reverse.
Where do you mount the input controller? On my C7 I put it in the console. Thinking about not using the controller input device and just using the bluetooth with my PCD.

I didn't mount mine at all... After the setup was completed, I disconnected the controller input display unit and stowed it away in the center console...If I choose to change the settings, I now use the Soler App I downloaded on to my phone...
As for the controller module and long cable.. I placed the module and coiled up the long control cable under the carpet behind the accelerator pedal...A very stealth setup!
I use the Soler on my Z06. I did a sweep of the pedal from closed to WOT while looking at the data on my scanner and there was a point - in any mode I chose where the commanded throttle percent dropped and then pick up again. At comfort level one, for example, the throttle percent went smoothy to about 65 percent, then dropped to about 55 percent and then went smoothly again to 100% on a continuous smooth pedal sweep. It did this from day one. I'm going to shoot an email to Mike at Soler Engineering about this. I'll see what he says.....

I just use my phone. The controller's in the glove compartment in case I need it, but haven't used it since the initial setup.

I haven't noticed any similar behavior in my Stingray. I don't have a scanner, but I think I'd feel a drop like that. Will be interested to see what Mike says, and if it's unique to the Z06.
