I think the shifter lever on the left could be flipped over, but not the one on the right. I'm not sure what years these levers/ drive housings are.

I did notice that the gear in middle is a little longer. Do you think it makes any difference in the operation of the starter?

You can see the snap ring when I pull the collar against the spring. It's hard to hold back the collar agaist the spring. It might be tricky getting that snap ring off and on.

When I pull the collar back on the spring you can see the snap ring. Looks like it might be hard to get that snap ring off with so much spring pressure on the collar.

Is this what you mean, 2 piece collar with a snap ring when you pull back the collar. That snap ring is going to be hard to get off pulling the collar against the spring.

Yes and no it went 14.81 at 95mph. But when I went looking for the time slip I came across the engine dyno sheet for that motor. It made 340 hp. With radial tires and a hurst shifter. So I guess not truley a 300 hp car.

'65 327. I think it's leaking from the crank seal. This picture is after a 6 mile drive. Rebuilt motor new seal. Did not leak on dyno, but after 2000 miles it's leaking more and more.
