Frankie, you sure were right about the VHT cast iron color header paint! Turned gold as soon as it warmed up.

'65 327. I have a new copper oil line and fittings for the motor to to the oil pressure gage. Does the copper line need to be flared? Or just tighten the fitting and it compresses the line?

.'65 coupe 327 . The battery box is on the driver's side. The bolt with the yellow arrow is very loose and just spins. It will not tighten right up or unthread more that a 1/4". Does this have a welded nut inside the frame that's broke away?
Any ideas how to repair it?

Looks like D6 changed to D7. The week after a GM strike. They were probably falling behind on the line that day.

1 clip is upside down. This side of the car the clip has the small tabs facing down like your picture. And it looks to be fitting much better and not so loose..

I trying to get my e-brake working and I noticed that the shoe retaining clip is loose. It has the tabs bent over the bolt head, but does not make contact with the shoe. You can push the clip back to the shoe, but then it pulls away from the bolt. The clip is very lose and just moves back and forth. Do I have mismatched hardware or missing spacer maybe?
Dave

I hate exhaust leaks. I use cheap gaskets like this and no leaks.

Do these look stock or my maybe part of the Vintage Air kit that a previous owner installed? I went to mount my flasher which has been flopping around under the dash for years, and realized that the side panel doesn't have a mounting hole for the flasher.
