Now Craig I must say all of the work you are doing is great except for one thing, that can of Metal Mask is the worst looking thing I have seen in all of you pictures.
Just kidding!
Thank you for the tip, didn;t know about that.................................... ...................

Painting the storage boxes with bed liner today.
Started by sanding the epoxy coating I added with medium grit sandpaper to give a better base to paint on.
Then masked it all up.
Sprayed First coat.
Just after third coat.
Now wait for it to dry up and i can move onto doing the rear wheel wells.

Thank you Craig for posting all your work as I'll use quite a bit of your information as I restart my rebuild. Keep it coming, nice work.
I am more than happy to post all the work I do. I really enjoy both doing the work itself as well as posting about it as it serves as a way to share with others and also to jog my memory when i have to go back to repair or redo something.
....but am not really happy with how its ended up. The new bushes don't sit up as far as the old ones on the frame so I may pull it and use some of the Vansteel Delrin bushes to get the diff a little higher and mounted more solidly.
I purchased a set for my 73.
I haven't installed them yet, but like everything else I have purchased from Van Steel, they are top quality.
Give them a call and talk with Dan or Paul.
Great guys and they know their products.
Craig, your other option on the diff crossmember is just to solid mount it as per the Chevy Power Book (http://corvettefaq.com/c3/ChevyPower.pdf), which allows you to also raise it up in the chassis and improve the geometry when lowered. I did this on my car.
Looking great!

Somebody told me that you should re check your drive shaft angle after installing solid mounts to the rear differential crossmember.
Don't know how true his statement was???

Depends if they also raise the diff. If the diff is moved higher/lower then yes you should check the angles.

i considered that Andrew but had a credit with VanSteel so opted to use their kit to raise it up.
It should be in California ready to ship next week.
