I'm just checking in...........actually because of Memorial Day (the PTSD makes this day difficult).
I want to honor my friends who didn't make it, and honor those I never met who lost their lives in 'Nam and the other wars our friends and Allies fought in, along with those American soldiers killed on American soil by terrorists.
I thank God that He has laid them to Rest where there is no more pain or loneliness for them to bear.......the Day will come when he raises them out of the grave to Victory.

My Dad was a wwII combat engineer in the Pacific theatre then went to Germany to deal with prison camp refugees. I lost him 5yrs ago this September at age 88 memorial day was always important in our family, more so now. Thanks to all who served and carry the scars and to those who gave it all. May we never again allow a disgrace like our current president to put another American in harm's way.

I wasn't going to go there.......but......since YOU did......Well said!
Thank for checking in DG! Hope you were able to enjoy a part of today knowing your friends and fellow soldiers are in eternal peace. I have never served, and I don't know if I have the courage too, but I thank God all the time for everyone one of you who did so I can be free with you.

I'm glad that you don't have a granite inscription over you, or memories of war in you.....it is enough that you care about Memorial Day.
As for me......I will be free when I see the women and children safe in Heaven, that my helicopter crew could not rescue.
EDIT: Sorry for thinking out loud........rough day today.

The best way to be sure that you are getting nothing accomplished.....
"is to have to search for your own thread"!
I made a few more attempts to work on the car but it hasn't happened.....
It DOES make me feel better to keep up with the progress on Everyone Else's projects though.
Know what you mean Tony. Since I have done nothing on my project for 3 months I to have gone back over my loooooong post to look at all the pictures. Makes me feel a little better.
We will get there someday, I guess or hope!
RVZIO
Don't feel bad Tony, I've put my project on hold (but it's still very drivable), to spend money on my new toy:
I've said for 20 years now, virtually all the new cars are ugly as sin but that is one of the rare exceptions and the only new car I'd consider buying if I was in the market. Sweet!

Thank you, Maw MOPAR did a great job of keeping it retro and true to the original Challenger.
I have been in a slump a while and you guys motivated me, haven't done much but the little I am doing the last few daze better than nothing...
I was in Orlando and would seldom see a c3 on the street I move to Eustis a little place and see c3's and even a c2/c1 almost daily....
So that is a kick to get mine going....perhaps tonight though I will work on that high tank toilet.

BATS! Tell me about it! Tomorrow will be 70 days of not being able to work on the car. I am beginning to understand the advice you Members give me--------"Motivate yourself, get out there and do it"......(and when motivate is low)-------------"One hour a day"..........(and when I reach the point that I can't even do an hour a day)------"You'll come back around, give it time"!
I HAVE to tidy-up a few things on our home so I can put a "For Sale" sign on the lawn........and do a few more repairs on my Mother-in-law's home so we can move into it to take care of her while she recovers from the grief (and the inability to walk).
Other than that.............Thanks for bearing with me on the........ .....................

Yes, I actually think its better looking than the original Challenger.
Never a big fan of original challengers, i like the new ones because to me they have more resemblance to the old cuda's which i loved.
Gunner, going to show at VA today in Northport L.I.
Many Vietnam era vets. Especially gut wrenching is seeing these young soldiers with TBI's some are mid, late thirties who have been in chairs with machines doing everything for them for the past 15-20 yrs. whose only hope on this earth is a miracle.
I'll go make a donation and thank them and God for what i have.
Good luck

I like the Cuda's a lot too.......but my '68 Camaro convertible was my 2nd choice......annnnnnnnd as we all know......my 1st choice is still on jackstands.
True.......that tears/tears me up to go to the V.A. clinic and see guys in their 20's & 30's waiting on Xrays/MRIs/Psychiatrists.
I was flipping through the "Book/Old Testament (of all places)" last night and saw a sentence that astounded me......paraphrased: "One day God will do away with evil tyrants and abolish War-then there will be Peace forevermore".
My project has been put on hold also while I get a couple of things done on my C-4. I had to fix the cooling & AC problems if I'm going to be driving it this summer.
Then I can turn my attention back to the firewall on my 71
Tony, don't worry about your mini mental-vacation, it hits all of us.

I disagree, no disrespect intended, but the original Challenger was a lean sleek musclecar, the new challenger is a slab sided, overweight Hotwheel. The same goes for the old versus new Camaro. Corvettes, however did its ancestors justice. No need to make a big deal of this, it's just my opinion and I respect others who disagree, we're all car guys after all.
lowbuck72..........I'm finally "getting use" to looking at the new Corvettes (now I have an idea of how the C1/C2 guys felt when those weird-looking C3s hit the showrooms)!
