LOL! Those cites were worth making the stops! Great scenery....we could have spent two days in each place.
I didn't get 1/10 of the pics I could have gotten.
We'll be here on the sothern beaches a couple days driving our way back to the New Orleans area>>>>which should be on everyone's road-trip list.
Those are some beautiful pictures of Historical importance. I have been through Georgia on the way to Daytona, and it is beautiful with the moss hanging from the trees.
Now those beaches look just as white as the snow in my front yard!
2,210 miles later/the soft top is at it's new home/hopefully I will restore it this week while the weather is good. Since the car is a daily driver the top will probably be put to use several times a month....
For those Loo-z-anna monsoons that last 7-10 days, I'll drop the hardtop onto the car.
I found a PAINTER today.....about 3 miles from my home....he gave me a quote on two items to start with! He had rolled a red '76 coupe out of the shop and it looked great. He is his own boss now and told me to bring my hood and hardtop (since those are the only parts of the car that actually fit correctly...LOL)..... in this coming Monday. He said if I like the work he'll give me a quote on the "rest" of the car.
Now I have to "pull a RVZIO"....and get all those panels lined up/grill and tail light panel swapped out with the '68 grill and panel that I have hanging on the wall......

I made a little more progress today after spending the morning in the attic repairing the central heat since it will be 29* tomorrow night....
The Baby gets a new pair of shoes....245/60/15 to match the "overdrive" in the 700R4 that will go into the Vette soon.......
I'm about to crack open the soft top that I bought from Mirage last week...thanks again Mirage....
The frame is disassembled and ready to be "de-rusted/minor rust" and repainted...those 400+ staples took two hours to come out/I think I willuse wide-head brass or stainless screws to re-install the top.....
There was a minor problem with an arm that had a stress-crack almost all the way through it--no problem--it needed beefing-up anyway........
The top is ready to be scrubbed---since it is faded it will get dyed also before being re-installed....the back "glass" looks very good/only needs polishing.............

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
