can't find any info on the price and availability of these rear packages, do you know if it's a stock item or does he make them as they are ordered and what do they cost? I am very interested in this up grade?
I'd love to have the duck tail look on my 76. It's going to need paint eventually and when the time comes I'll be seeing if I can buy that custom 68-73 tail section. I want the front end shortened up more than I crave any mods to the backside though so hopefully that will be an option too. I don't actually want a chrome bumper look. I just want a bolt on 73 type FG nose that's shortened about 3 inches (compared to a 73) by removing the 5 MPH bumpers. I already asked my insurer broker about modifying it that way. Insurance will be more because it will go in their hotrod category vs all original. They don't seem to give a hoot about the bumper mod itself though. As my broker commented, it isn't possible to have less bumper protection than a typical T bucket and they insure lots of those.
So - any updates on the "front conversion" mentioned below(I bolded it
just to be able to find it)?

When my Vette came up, it pushed my buttons not only because it was the roadster I desired but it was my favorite color as well. And since it had basically been abandoned for twenty plus years, it easily fit within my budget. I would say that the $5500 purchase price was a fairly decent score. I had it running nicely within the first week and have replaced the calipers as well.
I had originally purchased a fiberglass '75 tail but it was total junk. Then I saw this conversion piece on this forum and knew it was for me.
While I'm not a stickler on originality, I don't want to totally mess with a car's value if I ever decide to sell, I see this tail section (and my soon to be ordered front conversion) as a fantastic bolt-on option for guys who have '74-79 C3's and want something different than the commonly used '80 rear bumper cover.

Hi Slick. Sorry for the delay but just got back from a little road trip stateside to pick up some much-needed parts for the Vette, such as offset A-arm shafts and rear struts to give me more adjustability in terms of camber and bushing kits to tighten things up a bit.
The bumper position looks super natural from the rear but yes the side lights differ in position in terms of bumper placement but it is a minor concession when you realize that this is a true bolt-on conversion.
As for the tail lights, you have three options. The bumper comes with the 'glass molded to allow for 68-73 tail lights to bolted in (you drill). Or Don will send you deeper pockets that can be glassed in to allow you to use your stock "rubber bumper" tail lights.
The third option which I came up with was to split my stock 75 tail light and sandwich the bumper between the lens and the backing plate. The light sits deeper and really mimcs the 68-73 look while using the tail lights you probably already have

Thanks and I'm with you on how nice the rear conversion looks, especially considering that it is a true bolt on.
As for the front conversion, well, it's still the plan, but it is a little behind schedule because of the accident with my short, wide and low Dodge truck and a deer. But I have been thinking of trimming the bumper pads off my fiberglass front bumper and smoothing them off to simulate a 73 look until I'm ready for delivery of the front conversion.
For the next while though, the car will be on jackstands while I tend to its suspension needs.
