I shudder to think but maybe he's at work or something??? This "soap opera" will surely die without it's leading star I read the dog thread and I don't think he said anything that out of line either (not that would get him banned).

Not sure how harsh the punishment (if any) that he may have, but a first time misdemeanor is to have all your posts monitored before posting for 5 days, sometimes that may take a while to finally have them approved. Or worse with is a five day time out.

it only ads the the Ambiance and drama to the thread.

Jim

if MSVetteMan can at least read this should drop me an e-mail jimluer@yahoo.com and let me know whats up? Or would that get me in trouble ...kinda like an accessory to the crime

Maybe we can start a Nelson Mandela-like campaign to free MsVetteMan. Anyone up for a march on Bowling Green?

I just spent the last hour reading this thread. First I would second the motion to rename the thread "New crate engine is now a steaming pile of Sh.t" I would also agree to have the fingerprint on the number six cylinder analyized. I personally think it was some shady work done by Cooter from Hazard County and after watching all of the reruns of Dukes of Hazard I have never NEVER witnessed him rebuild and engine. Finally, I would agree that I will consume adult beverages until MsVetteman is Freed.

Semper Fidelis Mister MsVetteman I wish I could help

gah! That blows, I would go postal if someone made that stupid of a mistake putting together my enigine. I didn't read all of this thread but I can only hope the OP gets a refund out of it. I wouldn't want a replacement from a company that can't even get a intake gasket right lol.

I've followed this thread from the very beginning. I feel MsVettemans' pain. Here's where I'm coming from... I own a small business that repairs high pressure painting equipment(3000 psi). We TEST EVERY repair and then preload the pumps before they go out to the customer.
My pride and reputation are on the line. In 27 years of this business, the few times a customer has called to complain about a repair, the calls are switched directly to me. The first thing that I do is to apologise that the customer is having ANY problems with the equipment and that if it's in any way our fault, we WILL make it right. It's almost always something that the customer is doing wrong. So, I can see both sides of the story. I applaud MsVetteman for all the effort and pain he has gone through. I understand that that the Engine "supplier" might not like this thread, but any hint of "leagle" action is .
I am a man of extremely average intelligence. My strengths are... caring about my work and and a dogged determination to solve problems. Having said that, 6% failure, 1% failure?. It's an EFFING small block chevy! I built a 355 in my bedroom at home when I was 17! No outside help and no previous mechanical experience. I just read "How to Hot Rod Small Block Chevys" rented the tools that I needed, sent the block out to be machined, checked everything and assembled it. JEEZZZZ!
Sorry this was so long.
MsVetteman, I hope that they GIVE you an upgraded engine that has been TESTED. That would probably be easier for them than apologising.
Mike
