You forgot to mention those weird snail-looking things hooked up to the exhaust and intake tracts and that giant 2nd radiator...

A 350 block with a 4" stroke 408 or a bored out 400 block with a 125 shot of NOS? -That's pushing the envelope either way, but with a stock 400, block overbored it's terrifying!

Stock block or aftermarket?

It is fascinating looking at all of these motors -- small blocks, big blocks, some more tame and some not -- everyone has their own flare. If you think about the total hours sunk into research, pondering part selection, getting the money together, measuring and fitting, skinned knuckles, cleaning parts, dyno tuning... it's mindblowing.

You guys all have some really nice hardware under the hood. Whole new level of respect when someone asks for advice.

Stock 350 block, 4 bolt, machined, built and dyno'd by a NASCAR engine builder. The 125 shot is in additional to the naturally asirpated HP.

Try to get to the track with temp and humidity as low as possible and barometer high as possible. From a hot day in July to a cool day in October my ETs will drop 3-4 tenths.
Yes DA was at least 2751. Went back into my time slips and DA was actually closer to 2900 . The track elevation is about 2550 and most times when I have been out DA has been in the 3000 to 3500 range

I only wish I could see DA's in the 1000 range

388 (0.060 over), scat crank and rods, probe pistons, heavily ported Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and matching intake, Yella Terra roller rockers. 11.1:1 compression, crane hydraulic roller cam and lifters, 238/242@0.050, 298/302 adv duration, .558" lift. Fitech fuel injection, msd ignition, backed by a steel flywheel and tko600 box. All work done, assembled and built (except machining) in my home garage. Has done over 14,000 street and track miles in the 17 months it's been in the car.

Nearing finished, on the engine stand. Here I discovered I needed spacers under my rocker covers!:

Shortly after installation:

A few weeks ago, mocking up a cold air intake tray. I should take an updated pic...:
