Nope. As the owner of a '13 CTS-V coupe, it wasn't a recall. There is a problem with the isolator coupling on the sc so GM has extended the sc warranty to 10 years and 100,000 miles. No hammers were used, lol.

Nice swap!

x2! I’ve never seen so much aluminum on an SBC; that AFR composite intake should make it very light for an SBC.

A work of art, Paul; I’ve never seen the engine build pictures before.

Did the crank scraper come with the Milodon pan?

Thank you so much..
I don't think that AFR intake weighs more than 2 lbs.. in fact, I would say it weighs less than 2 lbs..

No, and its not just a crank scrapper, it is a windage screen as well, and does make more upper RPM HP..
it is made by Milodon though..

824 hp @8400 rpm CNC ported 276 CC Dart 18 degree heads with titanium valves 421 ci, Lucas Fuel Injection 2 3/8ths bores for something like 2200 CFM, Bryant crank shaft 14.2 C/R Actually went with a smaller cam to make a broader TQ curve. 9000 rpm rev limiter. Vertex magneto, 7 disk clutch and 5 speed transaxle. Home made headers with merge collectors. It about hurts your ears.!

the slicks picked up a bunch of rocks in the pits

Anybody else?
This is the time for bragging and showing off what you have.
I'm sure there are new motors being put together.
Let us see them.

I have the opposite thing going, where I'm trying to return a matching numbers 1979 L48 to a more stock appearance. There is nothing special about this engine at all, except that it runs. The L82 intake is the only "performance" mod, but I had to remove some bling items, including air cleaner, valve covers, and a bunch of stainless braid wrap on all of the vacuum hoses. There's still a bit on the ones that don't leak.

Some amazing engines on display here...

This is just a relatively stock L82 in my '73 near the end of its frame off from a few years back...

This thread is not just about high performance or show chromed out engines.
This thread is open to all engines.
An all original, plain jane engine is just as note worthy as any supercharged monster.
All are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks for sharing!
