Aloha All,
The Calipers as Wilwoods, they have bleeder valves at the top and bottom. Its been a cold winter, and a lot has happened. But I finally got back into the Vette. I fixed and installed the new 3-point seat belts, added the horn button (thanks 69ttop502), and thought I had a good deal, I got on Amazon. I bought a tiny scratched Edelbrock air cleaner at $50 off (it’s a tiny scratch on the hold down screw) but only to find out that it will not it under the hood I have (See pic) ouch, so back to looking for an air filter that will fit. I recently had to fly to Texas, so I stopped by Uptmor Corvette parts and picked up a set of upper hood latches and windshield wiper arms. I’ll be cleaning them up for install soon. With the weather getting warmer I plan to start working on the C3. Here is a few pics for now.

Sounds like you will need a drop base air filter.
Are you running a spacer between the intake and the carb?

Aloha OldCarBum,
No spacer, I think the Brodix intake may be taller than normal. I ordered a Edelbrock pro-flo 1002, which should fit until I figure something better or maybe a L88 hood, those should have the clearance. I also ordered a EFI Carburetor Throttle Cable Mount Bracket to get it ready to start, I’ll put that on next week. Have a great week everyone.

Karp. I did put auger style mufflers. They fit loose and I put the end cap on them so you could more power or noise. If you look in one of the early Chevy Power manuals and they recommend the spacer between the spring and diff.

Sagebrush Rebel, Great to hear from you,
The C3 is going slow, but, thought I would post your thread on the Muffler Augers. Its a great read and can't wait to hear/post the sound of them. I ordered a fuse breakout box and power switch to separate the vital 24/7 items (Fast EFI, Door Pops, etc.) and the stuff I only need power to when the car is running (AC, windows, etc.) this way I don't drain the battery but, retain the ECM settings.

For what it's worth, my dyno operator said a drop base costs HP.
It does have a rather small hole for air to pass?

Think of it as a reverse velocity stack...they arent good but they fit....if its a race night pull the hood if you need all the power

Aloha all,
I know my project has come to a snail's pace, but I'm currently working two full time jobs. thought I'd update yall on what I have been able to get done. As some of you know this is a coupe but does not have the t bar? I'm not sure either. Anyways our good friend Howard was able to get me a T bar and the chrome section. I'll take it to weekend work and clean it up for 15 it and get it ready to install.. although I may have to buy a rotary grinder with a cup brush to donate to my work in order to work on this. Worth it!

I've been working on the T-bar, but this morning when I walked by the car I happen to see this? It feels like oil. The car hasn't been started or even moved in a year, what could be leaking. Great thanks Murphy. Hope yall have a good week.

Could be anything from a freeze plug to brakeline....take off the cover and get a flashlight. That question is like looking at Biden and asking " what is he thinking?"

Looking at the picture my vote is brake fluid.
Either a line or caliper.
But you’ll have to find where it is leaking.

The verdict on leaking fluid was power steering fluid, its clear because I used (KRC Power Steering). Anyways I haven't done much, but did just start trying my hand at recovering the interior door panels. This is how the driver one came out and the link.

Things have been slow lately with winter and everything. I finally received a neutral safety switch, (now awaiting corvette central to delivery the backordered wiper switch)
While putting it in I gave a quick thought on the center console, knowing I don't have the ability to make the offset shifter for the TKO 600 and I have a bunch of material left from the door panel experiment, So I decided to make a center console cover.
I used Rustoleum vinyl paint to repaint the lower fiberglass piece, MDF contact cement and faux leather for the cover.
Its all done with the exception of the cup holder which in in the mail. *You can see the slight impression of the cup holder cut out just to the right of the vintage air controls.
Hope everyone stays warm and safe.

Aloha All,
Just a quick update, last six month I have been burning the candle at all ends to get out of my apartment. Finally got moved into our own place and I don't have to hide the car in the parking garage under a cover, lol.
The car has a proper spot and I look forward to doing some good work on it soon. Just need to find a L88 style hood for air cleaner clearance.

Moving into a new place is a lot of work… The Vette has been going slow. I did finally open the boxes of the headlights I bought back in July. I just cleaned them up and painted them with paint I had laying around. For now, they will go in storage, Once I get the car running, I may change to them in the future, but it’s good to have them just in case. I need to put some work in the wife’s vehicle before I can get the Vette in the air.
