Been entertaining thoughts of parting out my 93... Problem is it cost more than my zr1 to build and if I parted that car.. I'd probably just sell both cars and buy a built zr1

C6 looks great Rick. If you ever miss c4 tail lights just let me know I'd be happy to bring either c4 up for a run

I really like my C6 , but I really miss my speed

After having the C6 for @ a month, it dawned on me, I had one kick ar$ C4, full coilover suspension, 458 RWTQ, pretty nice stereo system, one of a kind for sure.

What I don't miss is the 1985 technology and plastic parts, but that's all, someday when I have more space I will pick up another C4, probably a Convertible.

So honest question from a C4 guy, how are you guys liking the seats in the C6? The seat in my C5 Z06 is ok around town but downright uncomfortable on the highway, whereas the seat in my '85 I really like for both around town and highway driving.

While I don't have C6 I have driven TPI421's C6 (JIm Barth) and they are very nice. My favorite seats are the sports seats in the C4. I bought my 93 C4 for a few different reasons but one of the main reasons I bought the one I did IS because it has the sport seats. In my opinion they are the best looking seats to date and the most comfortable. It is also my opinon they designed the new C7 seats after the sport seats from the C4.

I love your new C6 congratulations! It is extremely clean and good looking. You were right with the pics of the 88 on the wrecker. Hard to see. Let us know how your new ventures at the track go when you get to that point.

I doubt that will happen. There are no street lights up here Mikey. You may get scared.

The seats in the C6 are improved from the C5. I drove 20 hours home after buying the car, and they were did very well.

Nice Vette, Rick. A shame to see the 88 like that..... There is a really trick rear mount twin turbo build in C6 forced induction section. Some really cool stuff done to make it work and makes it a definite keeper. Of course, it would require a second or third mortgage. Houses are overrated anyway.

Edit: Found it.

That's funny. I just Tebow'ed and thanked the good lord for only having a 409 to bolt my 195's to. I would hate to fall victim to a nice C6. LOL

Gotta love small butts...seriously. I love the rear of the C4 myself. From what I can see so far from pictures I am going to love the rear view of the C7.

Tired of hearing 'c4 seats' are soooo much better than the c5/6 seats.

They are just seats!

Then don't read it, I was asking someone else who recently switched after a long period of ownership with a C4 what they thought of the C6 seats. I didn't think much of it until I bought a C5Z and realized I couldn't ride it long distances without a pillow.

The C5 interior is nicer than the C4 but the seat is downright uncomfortable, I was curious if they thought the C6 was better. I trust LD85 and 88BlackZ-51's opinion.

Don't think any of the initial C7s are going to get a jump on you and your 409, Matt. Good to see you posting! C5 and C6 seats are nice. I still find the C6 interior to be cozy even with the looser seats and the windshield feels lower with the top off, but the C4 seats definitely keep you snug. I remember sitting in my C4......I hated it. Felt too cramped and you had to rely more on gravity than you normally should to get in. Now I love it.

Seen my share of resto rod C1/2/3 cars and these are guys that have money to put whatever seat they want to in the car but they use C4 seats.

It seems almost too easy, bolt on supercharger kit a couple of pounds boost and bam 5-600 HP!

I was sad and happy to see the 88 leave the hoist as I had it for 11 years, but the new car is pretty cool, and is suited better for the odd trip to the road course.

In saying that the 05 is much slower then the 421 in a straight line (few mods may help that) but the cornering and braking isn't even close.
Could be one of the best C6 pics I've seen. Looks great! I think I see the reflection of your 88's rear tail lights in this pic!

I tried to close my eyes....but couldn't. It still HURTS! Ehhh...but HURTS is just HURST with a couple of letters mixed around!
