If you ever race one have a look at the backend as its pulling away from your 383.

I agree with that. The Z has a diff look to it and its nice.

For some reason the rooflines seem similar (C5Z)
Not a big fan of the std C5/6 they are still nice cars though.

I was looking at C5's and C6's when I bought my C5Z, I like that the FRC body style stands out as just a little different. Of course in a couple of years I'll probably end up ditching it for a C6Z, which I'll probably love too!

To paraphrase another C4 forum member...."But I made more torque". Still sitting on an HSR too -- just in case I really decide I want that race.

Mostly, I'm just happy with my personally-built, and customized C4 -- with it's smaller butt.

There's something to be said and feel when you've built your own...when it comes out right you'll never forget the feeling.

Unfortunately there's always something newer and faster off the show room floor.

So here I am still driving my stock 87...sometimes thinking of doing it again...then thinking about the bucks I've spent before.

First time I saw a C5Z comming up behind me I wondered...WTH is that? Really stealth looking......very cool. If I were younger I'd certainly have one......but then again it wouldn't be any faster than anyother C5Z, and there'd always be something faster.

Hope you enjoy your new ride when you get it.

I understand what you are saying and it wasnt an easy decision to turn the page and get a newer car.

I totally get about building your own to your own taste and I did that, and in saying that I did get a 421 built by Barth, and the car looked good.

I will be flying to pick up the car in a few weeks, and driving the 20 hr drive home (if all works out perfect).

I will always like modded clean C4's as they have great lines.

Just time to move on and enjoy something else.

I think Rick is going to pull the engine and put a Hemi in it, best of both worlds

I will if Ron quits smoking.

Larry already thinking of a pulley, cai, headers and tune. Should be enough for 450chp which will be fine.

sort of, no pulleys, CAI LTH, FAST ported Intake and it already has a NXT catback

Gonna have my rear wheels cut in half and widended by 1.0" / 25mm then buy all new tires with wider rears.

Eventually, some day in teh future, if I grow bored, I'll slap A SC on it.

Nothing in concrete, but I can assure you I'll be waxing on, waxing off, waxing on, waxing off

Well if you're a future LS3 owner, Rick:

Interesting read and it may be product pushing more than positive gains.

Who are you using to widen the wheels? I found 2 places but both are west coast.

The offset has to be very close to 79 mm in the rear. I'm not fond of 20's in the rear

And I like to stock wheels, I don't want to buy all new wheels, but I would maybe if the width and offset was right

I overlooked this one. Throw on the HSR then and feel the power!!!

Was just time to move on Gregg. Larry and I had the very same thoughts....He isnt looking back. Just a car at the end of the day, and I loved all 11 yrs of it.
