I just installed a ipod2car in my 98 Vette with the GMH20T & PXHGM1 harneses. The scroll function using the click wheel is not working correctly. It is damn near impossible to get where you want to go. If I disconect from the ipod2car it works perfectly. I have a new ipod classic 80 GB.
So far I am having no luck trying to get in contact with Peripherals Tech support.
Please help!
Same problem with my 3rd gen nano, however my old mini does not disable up/down function when plugged in. Someone told me this came down as a firmware upgrade for certain ipod versions. it sucks.

Just get a mini-cable from the earplug jack and be done with the hassle. Charge it up every few days and you're golden. By the way, Peripheral told me the AUX2CAR unit will work with either cable, as long as you get the right size connector...there are two...a larger one and a smaller one (round jack out of the Peripheral box). So, an AUX2CAR will also work with an iPod cable! even though they don't say that. And the iPOD2CAR may work with the miniplug cable but you should ask them.

I did get a hold of tech support, he told me that they have a new & improved version of their box. I called mp3mycar. They said no problem send it back & they will send a new one.

sweet (although I am not looking forward to opening up the console again)
could you post (or pm me) how you got ahold of them?
Having some trouble here. First, the PHXGM1 cable that they sent me has different tabs than the factory cable, as shown below. It does not fit in the back of the stereo.
Second, I plugged everything back in as normal, and the radio is now dead. No lights, nothing. WTF?

No, I feel your pain. It sucks when you get everything apart and realize that you were sent the wrong cable. I got the wrong one the first time also, the PXHGM2 which plugs into the CD changer. I don't have a CD changer.
I was unable to get the correct cable from the ebay vendor that I bought the IPOD2CAR from. I had to get it here.
I went to the C5 FAQ section of the audio forum, and it hooked up correctly by the way they show, but it doesn't work. It shows the ipod is charging, but when you hit Aux on the stereo, it won't switch over. I'm about to crack open a beer and do some thinking

Still couldn't get it to work last night, and I blew another radio fuse, so I had to quit. This "Easy DIY Job" is turning into a PITA!!
Bummer. Not sure why you're having such a problem. One thing I found was that the iPOD wasn't initially being "recognized." I had to plug and unplug the cable between the iPOD and the box a couple of times and it finally worked. No doubt you checked your connections a bunch of times, but just in case, I thought I'd bring that up......
I have a 2001 Coupe without the CD Changer, but it sounds like "some" C5s have the CD Changer CABLE installed anyway. Is there a quick way for me to verify that I do or don't have that cable installed?

There are the 3 storage compartments in the back of the car. Look in them. I believe that if you had the cable it would be in the compartment on the left.

Mine actually snakes down the right side...but the "official" mount site is in the inside, center rear of the trunk area. At least that's what a technician told me when he saw my CD Changer in the right-hand compartment.

Thanks. Not having one I was going from memory of seeing my friends. I guess I'm old and have CRS!
So, I received my ipod2car and my two cables, one for the ipod bottom connector and one for the 3.5mm jack. I set everything up the way I wanted so that I could switch between the 2 cables fairly easily. modified the hole in the console where the cig lighter goes so the cables could run into the console.
I hooked all up and the head unit doesn't seem to recognize the interface. The destructions mentioned that it may take up to 3 minutes to recognize it, but it never did. All I am supposed to do is hit the CD/AUX button on teh head unit right?
