[Z06] z06 Killer!!!!!
BY THE ONLY NATION TO EVER ATTACK AMERICA, SO KEEP IT.
HOPE THE RICE BURNER BLOWS A ROD!
I don't understand the original point, but all the replies have kept many entertained.
What was the original point, was it to win Corvette owners respect through insult? Or was it an attempt to pursuede someone from our group of possibly the most loyal car owners to turn on us?
It is ignorant to assume that someone who owns a Corvette believes he/she has the fastest car ever created. If we wanted the fastest car for the least amount of we wouldn't be driving Corvettes.
:lurk:
A racing challenge? Until you produce a picture of your MR2, we're keyboard racing, and I play this trump card:

The above car has ZERO cubic inches, and runs on Hydrogen Peroxide (H202). Does the 1/4 mile in 3.9 seconds at 248MPH (very quick but drag limited).
Thus, my fantasy car beats your fantasy car. Search the internet. You will not find a faster car (except this one, an all out dragster: http://www.the-rocketman.com/kitty.html , 1/4 mile in 3.22 seconds @ 412 MPH). :seeya

Oh, and Lingenfelter is in the import scene... running a GM(that's General Motors) 4 cylinder engines that have turned 6s in the 1/4. Unless you're running a Toyota I6s, don't bother trying to compete with GM four cylinders. Pick another competing car make ( i.e. Ford, Porsche, Dodge) if you even want to think about competing with GM V8s and V6s

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Your sig says Colorado, yet you said if I am in Houston you will race? I live in Baytown and I own a suite @ Houston Raceway Park. I am there all the time. If you are serious about racing, don't sing it, bring it...
As for Lawrence Conley. I have known Lawrence for years, and he is a really cool guy. What do you want me to ask him? I understand you are claiming to have beat one of his customer's cars, allegedly. Is he supposed to know you or something?
Along with a Z06, and several other cars, I also have a 87 GN. It should hopefully be back on the road fairly shortly, the machine shop is finishing up the motor. If you'd like to race it, I can certainly arrange that also. But, you are going to need far, far better than a 11.5... Here is a sneak peek. As I said, it is getting freshened up at the machine shop, but it gives you an idea.
As for the Z06, the offer still stands. If you're in Houston and you want to race? Bring it...
Anyhow, I guess I am just missing your point. You can spend a ton of cash on turbo upgrades and be almost where my car is stock. Is that the point you are trying to make. Here, let me school you a bit. Yes, Turbo Charging makes wicked power. That is why those little sewing machine motors can the power levels y'all are clamoring about. Its no secret. Look at F1, they were making 1300HP on a 1.3Liter motor back in the day.
So whats your point. Our motor make those HP level in a naturally aspirated state. We don't need turbo charging to make 500HP. We are closing in on making 500HP in a otherwise stock LS1 with just a heads and a cam swap. Heck, for $3995 you can buy the basic Cartek IIx H/C package. That will get you to 470RWHP (about 520-530 crank HP)...
Understand this, we don't put turbos on our car becasue the demand simply isn't as great as it is with small displacement import motors. Look at it this way. If we turbocharged our motors the same way you did we'd be looking at around 1300HP. And in case you are wondering there is more than one Small block Chevrolet making those power levels in turbocharged trim.
Its not that we can't, it just that we don't need to.
...and STOCK, STOCK, with a warrenty, for less than 50grand I get a car that has the same performance as a Porsche TT and Ferrari 360, I'm talking track, braking, 1.4mile everything. I happen to like MR2, RX7, Mustangs, and many other cars, but none compare to what you get for your money to the Z06. Anyway, I'm making a vow to not respond to troll topics anymore in the Z06 section (I think I can, I think I can, I think I can).
So you are saying that me upgrading my turbo is where your car is stock? Please. The jspec mr2(the one I am currently running) puts out 245hp and 237tq stock and runs 13.7 at 102 mph. I know a stock GN does not run that, so your going to need alot more upgrades than that.
If you want to meet up somewhere I will show you my car the one you will be running. I have no shame. If you want to know what I am doing to the car, I'll tell you. Like I said I know what my car is capable of.
I met Conley one time and that was at the track when I beat one of his cars. So go ahead and ask him whatever you need to.

A decent GN against a highly modded MR2? Odds favor the GN by a big margin. GN's make big power, hook well, and are strong. The MR2 is not in the same league.
Do you own an MR2? Pictures?
My car is rear wheel drive mid engine and limited slip, there is NO wasy he can out launch me. I can pull 1.7-8's on stock street tires. I guess you don't know about weight transfer do ya.
Are you saying mr2's aren't legndary? Just becuase your here and not oversees. I bet you go somewhere like Japan, they will say the same thing about Gn.
My motor has been proven countless times to perform under extreme conditions, In LaMans, JGTC, Rallying, etc. pushing anywhere from 400-1000hp easily. If you read the post above you can see.
Not in the same league! I can show pics and dyno pics of better times than 7.75 at 178 in an mr2 and people utilizing my motor.
My car has one championships and rallies. Mr2's are known not just for there straight line speed but handling as well. Are gn's known for their handling? NOPE. I well put my cars stock .97 skidpad against any gn on a track and will destroy it.
Now you tell me where I'm not in the same league as a gn.
245hp MR2 with a 1.7, 60 foot :skep: Got any timeslips with those figures for your car that you'd like to post??
J-Rod is running low 1.6s at HRP in his stock Z06, so you better work on your launching just a bit more.

Please provide a link with an MR2 doing better than 7.75 @ 178.
Please provide a link showing where and when an MR2 has ever run at the 24 Hours of LeMans.
Please provide a link to the SpeedVision series where MR2's compete with Z06's. http://www.jgtc.net looks like all Japanese cars... Where on http://www.speedtv.com ?

I'm guessing no MR2, not 23, doesn't live in Denver.

Matter of fact I will be in Ft.Lauderdale this summer, I will gladly run you. The only problem is my turbo is a little big for the track(too much lag) I'm not making any excuses just stating facts.
Like I said before mid engine rear wheel drive limited slip 1.7 shouldn't be hard to conquer.
Like I said, if J-Rod wants to hook up this weekend we can, doesn't matter to me. I can show him what I have not a problem.
