Leak Checks
Seeing water on the ground under the drivers side is a good thing!

I thought drain was on passenger side ?

ARE YOU SURE THE HVAC AIR BOX IS DRAINING?????????????????

The ones with the wide HVAC center duct are C6 cars but the framing and HVAC ducts are the very simular.

There are other drains that can cause water in the car issues. The windshiels cowl (area below the windshield) is the fresh out side air intake for the HVAC System If that area isnt draining, it can fill up and dump water into the HVAC System.
If I were you I would remove the windshield COWL cover and see if that COWL drain trough is properly draining correctly.
If you run water on the windshield, there should NOT be any build up of water in that trough. It should all just drain out.
Here are some pictures of the intake portion of the HVAC ducts and those drains:

Passengers side COWL DRAIN (behind the battery shown disconnected from the cowl)

NOTE!!! Do not remove the tube to flush it. Just disconnect it from the cowl and use a garden hose to flush it out. Its a pain in the sack to get it back in correctly!

I cranked up the AC and looked for it to be leaking on the inside... or outside of the vehicle I saw neither, however there is alot of condensation where the drip spout is supposed to be, what should I do!??

The fitting is on the fire wall.

i took a tube of sealant and ran it where the cowl and firewall meet hopefully that will work, not looking forward to trying it out though... the water rains down over my ECU and the rest of my electronics there...
. Has anyone done a write up on Verts?
I didn't notice the third one. Can I get to the far right udder without removing the wheel and panel?

I have big hands and arms and I can get to the third one but its a chore!

Hire a kid with samll hands to check to reach in there. They work cheap.

I have posted this problem before on most of the forums and have had a few responses leaning towards a windshield replacement as the culprit. However, I have never changed the windshield in the 3 years that I have owned her. If the previous owner did so, then it held tight without leaking for the first 2 years with me.
Below are pics. of exactly where I have seen the water dripping immediately after a down-poor of rain.
Any insight is appreciated ! Again this is on BOTH DRIVERS AND PASS SIDE.
Water drips right out of here where my index finger is from the bottom of this A-Pillar Rubber seal. There is a little tab that holds the rubber weatherstrip down where the water actually drips from. I'm guessing the seal is shot underneath ?

Water comes drips out of this little tab holds this weatherstrip down.

Then water drips down here to door sill and onto carpet.

If the culprit is a replacement windshield would the water be leaking from these areas ??

My driver’s seat carpet (below your butt) has been getting moist. I also have noticed moisture on the passenger side carpet that goes up to the doorsill.
It was not until our heavy rains stopped yesterday that I decided to take the Z for a drive. I drove to Burger King and went through the drive through. I paid the dude and waited. I cranked up the heat to max and hit the front defrost button.
Something from the corner of my eye caught something: a small amount of water dribbled down the plastic down to the carpet on the passenger side. I have marked it in the photo. You can see the “trail” of water left behind.
When I set the vents back to me, the little dribble stopped. I went back to front defrost and the dribble came back. This leads me to beleive the air in the a-pillar vent is pushing water down the path.
Using the A/C has never given me water in the passengers foot-well. I checked all the udders and the A/C drip under the car. All clear.
I am pretty sure this is the a-pillar leak, but anybody’s feedback is appreciated it.
