ebay Header Install

But between you and me a 1" air gap is pretty substantial. I actually don't know how you got that much!
I have maybe a 1/4"...

It was lots of work on their part while on the lift and cost my $120.00 in labor and effort - OUCH!
BUT, they are on -
I reved it a few times in the parking lot and got code 0151
O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (bank 2 sensor 1)
It was sputtering and popping and giving me weak jitery throttle response.
Turned around and went back to the shop.
Jacked it up on one side -
slid under..
Pass side, front O2 sensor looked ok.
Was connected as best I could tell.
Got down the road and within a mile or so, the car ran great.
Smooth shifts, nice tone, and plenty of response when I gave it gas.
I get it home, shut if off.
Crank it up and same deal again - weak throttle, sputtering and mild popping on deceleration.
Just checked codes again (after washing her)
And cleared them:
0131 -o2 sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, sensor 1)
0151 - o2 sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2, sensor 1)
0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire
THEN it gives me odd codes that are not in my book:
8367
6d2d
3600
It sounds like the muffler shop has your O2 sensor wires crossed... left side goes to the left connector, right side right... with the way the O2s come off the collector it's easy for someone to cross them.
Your 0302 is more then likely a cracked plug. But check your new wires also. Maybe the ole laying of the plug against the intake trick (except our intake is composite... LOL)?
Here's the deal, the O2s typically won't give you grief until after the warm up period, but you have a combo problem of O2 and an ignition break down somewhere... so you're running crappy right off the bat.
I'm curious as to why it started running good a mile down the road though, that seems to coincide with the O2 warm up period, but I may be off base on that... But I think this is a clue someone smarter then me should pick up on...
A good trick for finding a dead hole is to use one of those infrared temp sensors, the dead hole will be cold compared to the rest of the Header runners. I think Pewter had a coil wiring issue but yours doesn't sound like somethig that substantial.
BTW one of my cracked plugs, I couldn't even see the crack until I flexed the plug...

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

probably did it because thats the direction the sensors' connectors were pointed.
new plugs - and yes, mabe a chance we cracked one.
I cleared my codes and will check it out tomorrow (later today)
For the person who asked about bending the header, I dont see how you can, the tubes are right on the bellhousing as it is and you dont have much room to bend or even room to work.
Dave

I just want to get him fixed before he plants one of us 6' under!

Add Oil Dipstick Nut
Add the A.I.R. Tubes
D – 2nd Primary
P – between the 4th and 3rd primary on a TEE
Remove the mounting tabs
Lower Passenger O2 bung, OR re-locate both bungs further up the collector facing the hood (straight up)
Add a wedge into the Passenger collector to move the outlet inboard about 1”
** Clearance or re-route primary for AC line**
