Default 'm looking to do a blower on my Z

Hi Kadorja,

I'm looking to do a blower on my head/cam Z and was reading your 1 year old post. You mentioned that you still have part throttle misses. What do you mean by that? I really don't want to have drivability issues with my car after installing a blower.

Thanks

Best regards,

Jordan

I would say with almost certainty that the issue is related to tuning and not to having a blower on a head/cam car.

i.e., find a good tuner if you decide to go that route

I hope this is the correct place to post this. So after researching superchargers and learning roots and centri's both have strong and weak points. My question is, why does GM only use roots type? and its seem that all major auto manufacturers that supercharge cars only use roots. Would like to know why if anyone can help answer that

Aside from the ECS "Boost-a-Pump", did you need a supplemental fuel pump or a completely aftermarket custom fuel system whatsoever?
I'm looking to make 1,100-1,200 Rwhp.

Yeah, he's got at least the stage 1 fuel system. I can't remember if he ended up with stage 2 or stayed with 1 though.

The best fuel system out there, at least IMO, is from Fore. They'll handle that no problem.

Call Matt @ FSP and tell him what you want. He'll set you up. And tell him he owes me

Default New RWHP record on stock short block?

Format for post:
- A&A Si Trim 6 rib
- 6lbs of boost with a 150 shot
- 940 RWHP/916 RWTQ
- Stock LS7
- Miles on the car at install (Or since engine was built?) 3,450
- Miles on the car now: 10,533…still going with no issues
- Type of fuel (93 pump, meth, race gas etc.): 100 octane from the pump
- Transmission: M6
- Mod List: Stock ported LS7 heads, LEP cam, Kooks headers with catted X-Pipe, Corsa mufflers, A&A Si Trim blower, Nitrous Outlet direct port with 150 shot, McCloud RXT Twin Disk clutch
- How do you use your car? Street and strip. I drive the car to work weekly and do track days at the strip. Not a daily driver but can be driven daily with no issues.

Just got done on the dyno. The car did AMAZING! These motors are INSANE! Here's what's done: 2009 C6 Z06 Corvette, STOCK SHORT BLOCK to include stock GM head bolts, A&A Si trim Supercharger system at 6.0PSI with a Nitrous Outlet Direct port system on a 150 shot . LEP custom camshaft, WCCH CNC'ed stock casting heads, Tuned and Built by Leading Edge Performance in Las Vegas NV... 940 RWHP & 916 TQ! The tune is super safe and if I didn't care about durability I know we could make over 1,000 at the wheels. I'll get E.T.s as soon as I can get the car to a prepped track. Prior to the blower instanl and on the nitrous alone the car made 239 less RWHP and has been a 9.9 @ 144 MPH. Needless to say, I'm stoked to see what it'll do now!!!!
