Sammy, I purchased this one, but have yet to install it...

I'll go and get the specs, BRB...

I've been looking online for some kind of kit, but can't seem to find exactly what I need.

You would need something like this:

Yes i know plx egt sensor but no need with a C6 ZR1, ECM give me EGT value with lambda sensor before cats, see my picture with a simple obd2 adaptator, i've got 940°C in bank1 sensor1, value is correct i test with an infrared thermometer.

I just want same PID with my dashlogic unit.

lol not a sticker

My EGT begin at 100°C until 960°C it's a real time value.

It's a correct value with both lambda sensors, verify with infrared thermometer.

There is sensor for both O2/EGT :

http://www.vems.hu/products/round/EN/

I think my C6 ZR1 has a similar sensor with both O2 (narrow) and EGT sensor.

Just like oil temp and other values are just estimates.

Then again looks like a know it all that won't listen.

That's pretty much what I had, just by Honeywell instead of JCI.

Again, it isn't a real reading. It is an estimate. The O2 sensors that GM uses can't read temp. I don't care if you have a ZR1 or a base model, they use the same O2 sensors.

It's following the model GM came up with, that doesn't mean it's accurate. Of course it updates. That doesn't mean it's accurate.

You can think all you want, but you're flat out wrong

It isn't a real measured value. It's an estimate that GM came up with in a lab. Pull fuel pressure or clog an injector up or anything like that that SHOULD show up in EGT and it will not show up.

It's an estimate. Yes, it moves, because it's estimating, that doesn't mean it's accurate or that it would show you anything other than the "normal" value if something actually went wrong.

At this point I'm starting to think you're just trolling.

How did you verify it with an infrared thermometer? By pointing it at the header tube? Because that would only tell you the temperature of the tube, not the exhaust gas flowing inside it...

Thanks Mitch. Much appreciated. I just reread Carson's earlier post as well and now realise that I don't need a module to interpolate the signal from the sensor, and all I need is a third wire supplying the 5 volt constant feed so the sensor will "regulate" the output based on the pressure it's reading and then Dashlogic can read and display it. I think I've got it now (getting too old for this techie stuff).
I'm going to order this asap.
IMV, everyone with a modified supercharger setup should be monitoring fuel pressure, as much as anything else, so someone should offer a simple plug and play kit.

I've thought about selling a kit with sensor + dash logic pre-programmed but never got around to it

Look at that link you've posted. Then read it carefully. It says that they offer, AS AN OPTION, a thermocouple probe along with the threaded bung for the same.
With that option, their gauge will read EGT from the thermo sensor as well as the input from the wideband sensor, but they're separate sensors. So, check the exhaust pipe of your ZR1 to see if there's a K-type thermocouple probe welded into it. It there is, then someone other than GM put it there.
Besides, no one uses EGTs for tuning anymore, other than on an engine dyno. I've used them extensively back when I used to race 2-Stroke outboards, and I can tell you they can be useful for tuning, but only in conjunction with plug reading and only when you're working from a known baseline and you don't have things like unburned gas lighting off in the exhaust tract throwing you off.
So either take the advice that schpenxel and unreal are giving you, or dont, and go ahead and chase that optimum imaginary EGT - which, BTW, is what temp, exactly?? Enquiring minds want to know.

You think too much my friend!
Time to start doing something with that knowledge and work on the schpenxel retirement plan. You know more **** about these cars than any two vendors on here, so I have no doubt it would be a successful venture.
Maybe see if you can talk Unreal into moving to Florida and then you and him set up a shop there. I would be your first and biggest customer.

ok it's an estimate and i just want/need an estimate, same as with torque app and obd2 adaptator. Sure the dashlogic unit can get the same EGT estimate...

IR thermometer on the pipe where lambda sensors are, around 900°C, so my EGT ESTIMATE would be near the real exhaust gas temperature...

Now moving to your island, maybe. That sounds like a better idea. You just have to give me enough business to support my 3 dogs.

Not sure why but My 06Z oil temp reading is not the same as the reading that the dashlogic reads.
Car will read 200deg while the dashlogic will be around 140?
