Yes it will I had that done the first day I picked mine up. An interesting asie. While they had the dash apart i had them run a wire tied to the ignition thru the defroster vent to supply a radar detector since I didn't want it going from the power port to the window. They did it for almost no cost since the dash was apart.
Great to hear, thanks for the reply. Good idea with the extra wiring.
OK, got the Z51 back this afternoon and I did take it around the block a few times to try and determine if things were better or just so/so. here's what I found so far:..
2. The radio control panel was replaced to fix the screen rolling and going black. Apparently the dash had to be removed for this fix. So far so good. I will say the screen seems to operate slightly faster and far less pressure is required on the screen to make changes or navigate around...
Do you know if the replacement control panel /screen is the same as the original part, or is it a new part? Is there a part # for it on your invoice?

No part number is shown on the service ticket. This is what it does say:
Customer states the display will roll and go black.
Checked. Found PIC 5934A. Radio control panel internal failure.
Per TAC replaced the radio control panel.
I dropped off my Z51 (VIN #2498) at the dealer on Thursday for some of the common issues:
1. DIC and center console too dim at dusk
2. Center console rolling and going black
3. Center console freezing and not allowing changes (not related to #2)
4. Heated seats not heating
5. HVAC issues
6. Service bulletin for rear differential level
They called me today and said they loaded all the "approved" updates but they didn't fix my issues. On Monday the factory is going to remote connect to the car and install "unreleased" updates.
Not sure what all this means but I'll let you know (hopefully) on Monday.
Your vin indicates your car was delivered in oct but you waited until march to check your differential oil level ?

Actually, mine was the same. I never received the recall bulletin or anything of that sort. When I took my car in for the minor repairs, they did a 30-point inspection and found that not only was my car supposed to be part of that recall, but that my diff fluid was "a little lower than it should be." Apparently it wasn't nearly as bad as others, but they topped it off before giving me the car back.

There were no indications driving the car that the fluid was low and not every car that left BG had an issue. Besides, if it was low and tore up the rear diff they would have had to replace under warranty. NBD as far as I'm concerned.

My C7 was delivered in early October. I never received a call etc to have the dif fluid checked. I understood it was not a recall. However I received a PM from a Chevy Rep on this Forum when she asked for my VIN to check out the seat memory issue. The response said they recommended a dif check. I went to the local dealer who has a trained C7 service tech. He updated the software for the dash light dimmer and showed me how he checked the dif fluid; mine was fine.

Thanks. Keep us posted on if this replacement fixes the problem.

Alignment problem where vehicle pulls to the right. Went to dealer and they realigned vehicle and still pulls to the right. Ordering new tires.
Also, while NPP engaged and going about 50mph while tach is around 2k RPS sounds like NPP shuts off. This is when system is set to always be open.
Sorry if I didn't see it, but did you ever get a resolution to this allignment problem? I just took delivery a few days ago and seem to have the same issue. Did tires help?

Dropped it off at the dealer for software update. No recall notice received. VIN#2429 museum delivery 10/17. Dealer added 1.5 qts.

I read that the rear end only holds 2 qts. That seems like it was really low. How many miles did you put on your car ?
There is also a problem with the rear seals leaking in cold temps. There is a design flaw with the current seals. Go to the post about rear seal leaks.

Legroom in the C7? Makes no sense to me.
I own a C6.....and I halve been a corvette owner for decades. Last summer my son and I went to Carlysle to see the new C7. We loved it. However sitting in it felt a bit tight. Well, yesterday I actually got to drive one and clearly the legroom is substantially tighter than my C6. Chevy shows the legroom as essentially the same. But my 6 ft 2 inch body doesn't lie! Though my left leg was " ok", my right leg was very bent and hitting the underside of the dash. Not the case in my C6' no matter how I set the seat, I simply couldn't get comfortable. Love the car otherwise,

I'm hoping someone can help with a problem I've experienced since I took delivery of my C7 on Feb 25th....
Every time I get into the car, I have a hard time getting out. I open the door to get out and am unable to get my hands to let go of the steering wheel. Thank G-d my wife gives me the dinner call or else I'd be stuck in there.
I've also found myself just sitting in the car in the garage, playing with (and trying to learn) all the features.

My first corvette and I agree, it certainly is not the easiest to get out of.
I have my exit setting putting the steering wheel all the way up (to allow my knees to escape), and then I both grab onto the wheel to pull myself out and also push down with my left hand on the door sill. Then, I essentially roll out of the car without putting too much pressure on my 55 year old back or knees.
That said, I still love the car and consider the ungraceful exit part of the car's character.

Reason: typo
My A/C Compressor works fine, but it is noisy. More noticeable at idle and slow start accelerations.
It sounds like the old Ford power steering pumps of the 1980's. Turn off the A/C and noise is gone.
Luxury cars have small mufflers installed on the high pressure line out of the compressor to eliminate this. Wonder why Chevy didn't install one for this car.
My 2013 Camaro SS I traded in for my C7 had zero compressor noise.
VIN #1127.
My NPP does the same thing but at around 25 MPH. Didn't notice it until around 300 miles. The NPP is also in "open"; i.e. Active Sound Management is "off".
My C7 has the same issue and has since delivery 700 miles ago. taking it to dealer Tuesday Morning
Stay tuned.......
