** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **
VAMike73 /billsblue73/azvetters, passenger window lose of indexing- not both windows, just passenger window & wont stay up??????
please let me know what they find, thank you.
I have a C6 also and its HUD as no issues like this.
After updating it seemed to remember all of my settings, but my favorites were deleted.
One side effect I am noticing is that a fan in the climate system continues to run after I turn the car off. It stops at some point after I get out. I'm not sure why this happens, because I couldn't detect any air coming out of any of the vents.
While my C7 was getting the update, I asked service to check if the new head unit was available to replace the flickering screen problem. They eventually were able to reach whoever they needed to this morning, and Chevy says to replace just the screen. So they ordered a new screen.
QUESTION: Does anyone know if replacing the screen will indeed fix the flickering screen problem? I don't want the service dept. to rip apart my dash if it won't fix the problem.

My point is are these issues happening with cars that have been recently delivered?
Issue "dim radio", for example, what VINs are affected. Early cars? Later cars.
Issue flickering screen? Same questions.
There has to be a way to glean this information short of reading 13 pages (1,263 posts) of information. I have either 50 or 100 posts a page (don't remember off the top of my head). Summarize in post #1? Summarize in another thread?
Just sayin'.

You know how some cars stink like mildew when you first turn on the A/C? Some of the manufacturers started doing this to try to cure the mildew smell you can get if you run the A/C and just turn off the car. The extra air after you turn off the car helps to evaporate any residual moisture and hopefully eliminate any odors.
car the other day and my elbow slid across the emblem which them broke in half and cut my arm real good. I now have half an emblem and a long scab on my arm.
1. DIC and center console too dim at dusk
2. Center console rolling and going black
3. Center console freezing and not allowing changes (not related to #2)
4. Heated seats not heating
5. HVAC issues
6. Service bulletin for rear differential level
They called me today and said they loaded all the "approved" updates but they didn't fix my issues. On Monday the factory is going to remote connect to the car and install "unreleased" updates.
Not sure what all this means but I'll let you know (hopefully) on Monday.

BSD: Has now happened twice. The first was the day after delivery, last week. I had read the last 30 pages of this post the night before, in anticipation of delivery, just to be aware of any problems and fixes. Remembered the suggestion to push the down screen button and that fixed the problem. To Hendrick's credit; I mentioned this problem when their lovely representatiove called me that day and got a call back the next day from salesman Chris and one of their service rep's the next day. I thought I had the solution. But it happened today while I'm on a cell phone call. Screen went black, I pushed the down button just has the system "rebooted, at least that's what it looked like!" Now working, but...
Bluetooth problem: there's a problem with car computer and Android phone. I have an HTC One, running very current operating platform. Sometimes when I try to make call from phone, the car is very behind what is happening on phone. Also, radio sometimes does not shut off to allow call through system.
I'm sure this is a programming error as it has happened several times. I have also noticed that the dash screen "cell battery" does not accurately reflect the charge left in the phone. As exhibit #1, I proffer the following photo of my dash screen. I shows the battery all but depleted; but my cell says I have 35% battery.
Still think this is the best Vette ever. This is #7 over the past 20+ years; so I've experienced 3 new "C's". Not unhappy at all, as I expect Chevy to eventually work out the kinks!!

ps, did I mention that I love this car!!

1. A software update was installed for the displays and that fix seems to be working much better than before. I'll say this one is OK.
2. The radio control panel was replaced to fix the screen rolling and going black. Apparently the dash had to be removed for this fix. So far so good. I will say the screen seems to operate slightly faster and far less pressure is required on the screen to make changes or navigate around. I'm not sure why there is not a setting allowing us to adjust the pressure required to make changes but what the heck.
3. This item was also related to #2 so changing the module should fix this issue as well.
4. This is still an issue. What I was told is that the seats are functioning per design so people wouldn't burn their butts. Sorry, don't like this one. I just purchased the wife a 2014 Camaro SS and the heated seats will weld your butt to the seat after 10 minutes. If Chevy is worried about the perception of the seats being too warm then it only applies to the Vette.
5. HVAC issues seem to be less of an issue after another software update but I haven't driven the car enough to definitively say they have all been corrected. I will say the unit responds better to setpoint changes however the internal sensor seems to be reading higher than the actual temp.
6. Rear diff OK with no additional fluid required.
One major thing I noticed is that Sport mode is no way near what it was before the updates. Previously, the steering and handling were very close to the Track mode. Now they are closer if not identical to Tour mode. All my settings are still the same so the update did something to the electric steering and the suspension.
That's all for now. I'll post another update after the weather clears again.
