Ken, you were the one who advised this link after I posted a thread as a few others had this issue as well and I thank you for that.

Default BSD Question or updates

I was informed a few months ago by GM Cust Service and my dealer a new or upgraded infotainment system would be ready late February or early March and they would replace my faulty unit with similar concerns you note above. Just happened to me at lunch today once again.

Just wondering if anyone has had this corrected successfully to this point? Thanks VIN 1631.

Default "Backfire" during full throttle acceleration shifts

Has anyone else experienced a backfire or bang noise when shifting during full throttle acceleration with the six speed auto? Is that a problem with the software for the VVT? Can the program be "Re-booted" at the dealer or would an aftermarket chip adjustment take care of it?

Not a big deal but wanted to mention the issue I was having with my memory seat. No, this is not the issue that the M7s have as I have an A6. The easy exit was working fine but all of a sudden it stopped setting back to the #1 position when I started the car. In fact it would jerk a little to move but then stop. Finally figured out that I reset the exit memory to recline the seat a bit more. When you fully recline the seat it rubs a bit on the back console/side. I think this was being detected as something in the way and would stop the memory seat from returning to the appropriate position. Once I tilted the seat forward where I could no longer hear the rub and reset the exit position, everything is back to normal. SJ

Backfire. Less loud and noticeable now that I have 2000 miles on the car. The first time was really something! I did not seek any resolution. FYI, an aftermarket chip will leave it's mark behind. There is no way to avoid that. And that mark will void your powertrain warranty. Just sayin...

Thank you for the reply. Just opened a case with Chevy Customer Service.
How long did the dealer need to have your car? Did they simply replace your unit with an upgraded one?

Again...thanks much.

Yes had the same thing happen although I am sitting at 3,700 miles and does not seem to be quite as pronounced. Time will tell.

They had my car for 3 days. I'll assume part of that was waiting for the new unit to arrive. I can't tell you if the replacement unit is the same or an upgraded unit. It looks identical to the original unit but hopefully the bugs have been fixed.

VIN 2392, mid Oct. Dim instrument lights and HVAC issues. Have not yet returned for fix. All else is well except for a couple of minor paint issues.

Mine does it. Get the "pop" just before it shifts.

Default New Owners Help Identify and Sollve Problems

I was just wondering....
Seems to me that this string would be a great one for GM-Corvette engineering to follow to see what people are seeing and thinking.
There is some dang valuable posts on this string. Does GM follow these?

You should be able to get the emblem fixed under your warranty. Thanks for the info.

Interesting, I have seen this post a number of time. But my seat has no emblems that stick out on it. But I got stock seats also. This seems like a law suit waiting for a class action assembly of owners.

Did you find any solutions to your rev issue? Do you have M7 or A6? Our A6 may be doing same thing, vin 11808.

Feedback is much appreciated. I'll just have to wait and see and based on this not take the car in until all parts are at least at the dealership.

Have a good one

VIN 00767 Took my car in Monday. They ordered the unit and installed it on Tuesday! I asked them how long they needed the car and they said an hour to an hour and a half. I returned in an hour and a half and car was done! After two days, it is working properly! Great service from Vann Gannaway Chevrolet in Eustis, FL!
