** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **
Taking it to the dealer in the next few weeks, I don't want to be without my car just yet so I'll just embarrass myself for a little longer.
I took it the local Chevy dealer which is Rydell in Northridge, CA. and the they have a resident Corvette expert Donny Yorke. He first unhooked the battery and that did not fix anything. He then tried the simple fix that everyone on the forum has been doing, he hooked up the scan tool to flash the computer but there were no codes present so there was nothing to clear. He then started to dig further and found out the switch was working on the console but the Chassis Control Module (CCM) was not receiving the signal. He then tested the CCM and found out that it was not calibrated for the PTM modes. He said the CCM controls other things like the NPP exhaust and that has been working fine. When he tried to access any of the PTM modes, it just said "unknown" for all five settings. All of these tests were done with the car hooked up to his scan deal thing (technical term)
and his laptop. Donny was able to calibrate the CCM and insert all the correct parameters and now it works perfectly. He worked on the car for about 2 hours or so. He is very friendly and super knowledgable. I hate taking my car to the dealer for anything, but I really enjoyed meeting him and I am super happy that there is an expert this close to me. You can ask for him directly when making an appointment and I wil be using Rydell and Donny for all my warranty and maintenance on this awesome ride. Also, the assistant service manager Rene was right by his side asking questions so he could help anybody else that may have this problem.
Trip meter now resets also. He and I both are not sure which test fixed that issue, but it works now.

turn to the driver it stops in the center and turns towards the
passenger side. the only way to get air to the driver side is from
the vent near the drivers side door.

Problem: Center touch screen Display flashes off and cuts out
Solution: Dealer replaced entire display. Most likely cause seems to be the switch at the top of the display that turns it on once it is all the way up. Because of the very quick and intermittant nature of the shut off, the display will often jump and become jumbled as it looses sync. Initially dealer was told to replace some kind of USB cable, but GM quickly changed their mind and sent a complete new center display unit. It has worked perfectly since replacement.
My son just had same problem with his vette. We told them of your issue and showed them the thread. I believe in another post you said that they over nighted the new part. Well with my son it is one week since he initially went in and only now are they telling him they have to take the dash apart to get the model number before they send part.
Seriously pissed. Did they do that to you or just order part. You mean they don't know what went into the build of the car.

Guess what his vette has all those problems. The screen is bad and it has rattles and vibes.
The car magazines that tested this car must get the best fully tested quality cars that GM can provide, because they have ruined his enjoyment of an otherwise great car.
$70000 and this is what he has to deal with.
Disgusted for him, my damn Camaro came out perfect, I quess after 5 years of production run they will get the Vette right also.
Wouldn't be surprised that when he gets it back if it does one more thing will be visiting the Porsche Dealership.
Sad, I am a staunch advocate of American cars. I love the engineering strides they have made in many of the Chevy cars, trucks, Caddy's etc.

Only after I set the temp in the mid-80's did a little heat come out of the vents. The cabin ambient temp was in the low 50's.
Had no issue with the air cond., but the heat is not acting right at all. Will have the dealer check it out, but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.
by the way ..nice looking car
i guess i'm kind of lucky haven't had to many isues(yet) but it sure seems like GM is going to have bulletins flying around all over the place . good luck with it and injoy your car i'm sure gm will come up with a fix''i just feel for the people that are going to have to have thier dashes taken apart .
I am also having memory seat, mirror, and easy exit issues, but the body is a much greater concern.
Appreciate any help you can provide.
