I just wanted to point out that poverty splitter does work. I notice a tad more stability at the front end. Front feels a bit more planted above 130mph

But all the existing screws are on the back edge...You need the additional screws to keep the leading edge tight against the bumper.. Remember, the whole purpose of the splitter is to increase downforce on the front end and it is under constant pressure at higher speeds.
I recommend using the matching bumper cover screws (with backup nut inside the bumper cover) for extra security over the plastic rivets...

Bob, that was a great find. Lowest price I have seen to date and free shipping on top of that.

The dealer's PDI shop had extras in a box....
but you can also order OEM hardware from clipsandfasteners.com including the matching u-nuts.

The threads are M4.2-1.41 w/17mm washer (u-nuts are #20339, I think GM#11516397)
You might get lucky and find some at the local auto parts store.

They may be playing games with your IP address. I've seen other sellers jack the price up after I've looked at the item more than once, then reducing it a week later. I presume they're keying on your IP address and hoping you won't notice the price increase should you decide to order. Caveat emptor.

They are priced slightly more now. The poverty splitter has not been painted. Straight out of the box.

I have about $525 into both the side skirts and splitter and cost of materials to paint the side skirts. I installed all parts myself. The appearence is awesome.

C7Jake has the poverty splitter and the ACS brand side skirts which are are priced several hundred dollars more than the C7carbon.com

You can decide which ones to buy. The Z06 style is sold by many vendors and at many different price points. They are essentially all the same in style and all look alike. Only difference is the material they are made . True Carbon Fiber material of course is the most expense by far.
Awesome looking Vette. Where did you get the paint?

pltmgr:

Several places:

Wet Sanding paper came from Home Depot 2000 & 3000 Grit
Adhesion Promoter came from AutomotiveTouchUp.com
Base Primer Came from Home Depot Rustoleum Product
Paint came from Home Depot..Carbon Mist Metallic Paint (Rustoleum Product) $7.00 for the spray.
Clear Coat came from Home Depot High-Gloss Automotive Clear Coat (Rustoleum Product)

All great products all high-quality products.

Easy to do, just take your time and be sure to let all coats sprayed dry thoroughly. Sometimes when painting parts like this, people become impatient and never wait enough time for the coats to dry properly. I painted my side skirts over a 3 day period.

Applied the following: Wet sanded 2000 grit, 2 coats of the Adhesion promoter, 2 coats of primer, wet sanded lightly 3000 grit, then sprayed 3 coats of the Carbon Mist Metallic and 3 coats of clear coat. Then polished with Meguiars 205 and then applied a coat of wax.

Results just as good as an auto paint body shop. Saved a ton of money and spent less than $25.00. Since I do a lot of auto detailing I had a lot of the base supplies already.

Hope this helps.
