I repeatedly called Navtool today and there is no answer. I think that the ones that received their order are lucky.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially after they created tracking numbers in no particular order. Shady all the way around.

I'm communicating with Vitaliy via email now.

I asked a question about the RCA plugs.

The Numbering of the plugs caused me confusion.

There are 5 RCA plugs They are grouped 3 into a black connector and 2 into a black connector.

The Group of three is labeled thus:

Video input 1 = Front Camera
Video input 2 = Left Side Camera
Video output = Right Side Camera

The Group of two is labeled thus:

Video Input 1 = Audio red
Video Input 2 = Audio black

The group of 2 audio is used in connection with an AUX jack and one of these: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/ima...2.5-RCA3_m.jpg

If you don't have an AUX jack, you can do blue tooth audio streaming.

That takes care of pretty much all my wiring questions.

I just asked about the phones not being answered and I asked how many units shipped in this first batch that is being currently delivered.

Elmer,
I am only going to hook up a front camera, so I presume it will connect to Video Input 1 which is on the 3-wire group. Correct?

What if a person wanted to hook up 4 cameras-Front, Back, and two sides. I thought the NavTool had the capability to handle 4 cameras, but where is the 4th input?

My unit has 5 RCA plugs, period. Your conclusion is correct on the front camera as video input 1 of the 3 wire group. I do not see any RCA plug for a rear camera. I planned on using the one that comes in the car for the reverse back up camera function.

Elmer,
Thanks. I plan on using the rear camera that comes with the Vette also, but I seem to remember that there was supposed to be a NavTool connection for the rear camera. Maybe after all of the turmoil with this process I am not remembering correctly.

No Elmer you are remembering correctly. They said there were 4 video inputs. The last was for the rear camera. When they sent me an e-mail for my preferences, the rear camera could be turned on or off. Navtool appears to be full of people whose word doesn't seem to mean much.

Today they could not be reached by phone so I e-mailed them. They did return my e-mail and said all C7 interfaces were supposed to go out yesterday but UPS could not pick them up due to high winds that knocked down trees. They said mine went out today and that I should see a change on my tracking number by 8:30 tonight. We will see if it is true or another story.

Your memory is fine. The unit was advertised with four video inputs.

I took two end shots of the elusive end caps as well. One end cap looks like it was not professionally cut out. Thats just my 44 years of experience as a tool and die maker talking though. What do I know?

Emer I hope you'll be able to talk us less than stellar electronics guys through this install with some good instructions and pictures!!!

My end caps do not look like that. see post #305. That's a shame that they're sending them out like that.

Your end cap looks like the picture of one posted by NavTool that they claimed needed to be replaced (large gaps). Seems the replacements may have had openings too small such that they had to hand file them. Just a guess on my part.

I'll bet they adjust video inputs based on the preferences that you replied with. One less wire for them to create.
I chose off for everything except the phone mirroring. I have movement with my tracking number with a 4/1 delivery date. Mine probably won't have any rca connections.

It is highly unlikely they make custom wiring harnesses based on your input to the default setup request. Yours will look like all the others.

For those that have received their units. Can you tell me if your end caps fit better than the one I got that looks like it was cut out with a grenade. If so I might try and get NavTool to send me another one if that is even possible..
