Thanks! I had my doubts in the beginning that these cars could 60' like that, I was happy to prove myself wrong.
On the GoPro footage of the launch (which I edited out) you can see the camera shake for the first few feet which indicates some wheel spin, so it might have a little more left in the 60' if conditions were perfect. On the other hand a few rotations of the tire sometimes keeps the RPM's up and helps the launch.
More than 900 miles on my car might help as well lol. I was hoping to crack 120 in that air but it wasn't in the cards. It did warm up some by the time I made my good passes too.
You'll have to share your launch technics with me.... my best 60ft was 1.92 rolling into the throttle... track was cold,37 degrees. actuall made my fastest pass in S mode, traction control on and rolling into the gas....I did warn the tires, but not as much as you did. I'll post the PDR video as soo as I get it uploaded...
As far as advice I would probably triple your burnout time, at least double it. These tires seem to like heat, I would at least get a little smoke off of them.
At 37 degrees it was likely just too cold for a good launch, even with a big burnout. It didn't look like you foot braked the car at all you just got onto the throttle. Once the track was sticky enough for me to hook by flashing the converter a little it would hold the car no matter how hard I footbraked it. What I mean by that is I brought it up on the converter as high as I could (~1900-2000rpm) and it still hooked. If the track won't hold you footbraking it hard like that then it probably won't hold it when you flash the converter.
Start by footbraking it low to like 1200 or so and see how it hooks, if it holds there keep going up until it either spins or you can't footbrake it any harder. If you get to that point then try to flash the converter a little (I went about 60-70% throttle, let the car roll a bit then went WOT), or maybe a lot if the track is there. If I just went WOT from idle it would blow the tires off.
I may not be explaining that very well lol, hope it helps.
Took the Current Fastest Bone Stock & Bone Stock Drag Tire C7 To MIR and raced against our Bone Stock c7 Z06. Z51 on Drag Radials. Z06 on stock tires. C7 piloted by WFARMER.Z, Z06 Piloted by Chris23120 (first time ever driving Z06! and on street tires no less... my 9 second CTS-V doesn't even have a set of tires that aren't made by Mickey Thompson...)

Its amazing how an old school chevy and corvette racer can stay so competitive! Obviously by all the posts Mr Farmer has developed his skills over the years and is able to apply them to the faster corvettes to date!!! Even Mr Rick Hendrick, aka Mr Racing, comments on WFarmer's efforts!!!
The car is not mine. It's from my customer who posts around here as kakashi.

http:// Got two passes in at the track last night (it was packed). The track prep was less than favorable. I'd like to pick up some 18" wheels and drag radials. This was on 20" wheels with 315 r888s. Mods are ecs kit with restrictor removed, Texas speed headers, and meth. Car is a m7.
