I'd rather see you go with a smaller, lighter, shorter tire.

The Hoosier 245 dr should do the trick.

Very nice run with your manual. You really need the necessary skills in order to obtain a decent 60 feet with the manual. Now it appears that you have the quickest manual with drag radials. Just a reminder. .....the quickest auto on the list is 11.31 with drag radiails. I don't believe that anyone came close to your time at Bradenton. Again ...good job.

I don’t think Hoosier DR2 245/40/18 will be good fit for my 18x10.5 wheel. 315/30/18 will be much better fit. And they are both 26” tire. I run 27” Mickey Thompson tire right now so 26” should definitely help.

Thank you! We also need to remember that 11.31 run was done with -1450 DA, 39F weather and 42% humidity while my run was done in -50 DA, 59F and 67% humidity.

i am familiar with that type of DA up north. I have used the same tracks back in my days. We won't get that here.....😄👍

A 27" is too much tire like you said. The small light tire is all on you need and will run quicker and faster.
Maybe you can borrow rims. You can get the 245 to fit the 10.5 and it will be 25" tall then which would be great but I wouldn't recommend it to someone if I hadn't tested it for safety first, although I bet it would be fine. Even a bias ply would work well in 17. Just not a fan of big dr. with stock power and clutch.
The 315 can work but it's too much tire and will put more strain on clutch and parts.

No way I’m stretching tires... So 245 is out of the question. Why do you say 315/30/18 will put more strain? I’m gonna have to slip the clutch no matter what on drag radials. If I could fit bias ply I’d just let it eat and launch her at 6000rpm.

...because it's too much tire for your setup. Slipping the clutch is wearing out the clutch which can save you at times and work but too much will glaze and cause a penalty downtrack.
You could borrow my tires and rims anytime (245 dr on stock c6z fronts) to try out if you are ever in the area. I ran them @ 25 psi so if you get the 315 I'd suggest much higher psi than normal and short quick burnouts.
A 17 in bias ply would be the most fun and you have skinnies already?

what specs for the M/t radials did you go with? I know our z51s have big brakes so i just want to look for the right ones that will fit. or at least part # from them? =)

thank you. We use the meth to help keep the blower cool since it’s hooked up to the CAI and travels through the blower. I could run it without but with no icebox or cooling mods this works great for me. The car made 578whp and 560ftlbs of torque on 7psi of boost. We are super conservative with the amount of boost because we all know the LT1 pistons and rings are like glass.
