It's not a washable filter and would need to be replaced when it gets dirty.

I have put down 1.53 60' times on the stock MPSS tires running the newer -1 AFE with the gray filter installed (tuff act to follow). I now have the BMS filter to try in my OEM CAI, hopefully it stacks up well against the AFE CAI.

Interesting I have an A8 2015 Z06 with ~16,000 miles.

Has anyone has this filter on the dyno?

Hey Terry, have you had a 17 on the dyno with this filter? The 17 has a different tune and I'm worried about throwing a code like some aftermarket CAI have been....

yeah I seen that, and he's having some knocking issues, but he wasn't even running the min required 93 octane fuel for the 2017 Z so I didn't really want to go by that dyno report..

17 Z06 M7 with Borla X... Mamo TB and BMS filter... Good number of hard pulls and no codes... Noticeable difference going from Green filter to BMS... Feels great!

Overall the 17s has been pretty solid... Had one or two reports of a fault with the filter, compared to one or two reports of a fault with the stock filter, always at very high speeds like 160mph. The filter is less likely to throw a fault than an intake system on the 17s from what I've seen so go for it.

2015, A8, Z51. Been running the BMS filter now for about 300 miles. No issues to date, car feels good and sounds like the airbox is a little more vocal when she opens up a little. Love hearing the sound, imo... great filter swap.

Ordered mine. Fast processing and shipping. The car is stock except for new wheels and MGW shifter. Definitely worth the money.

I was a bit taken back while installing. I noticed oil on the floor and on my shorts. I realize this is designed like this but I would have never known if I did not install the filter. Seems like quite a bit in there and if it ever fills up too much it could become a problem. How often should this be removed and cleaned?

Mine intake was dry with no oil inside. That amount of oil would concern me.

On to the filter. I have had mine for a few weeks. Overall seems good. Hard to tell if the car is stronger (summer heat) but no issues. One measurable thing has been my MPG has improved. Not a expected result but I am now averaging a consistent 17+ mpg verse the 16.8 I was getting before. Not major but a measurable difference.

The intake is dry. The part in the picture that connects the intake to the plenum has the oil catch which is the part you snap off and put back on during install. When I was cleaning and moving it, the oil leaked out. I let it all leak out and cleaned it thoroughly before reinstalling it. Just thought it was something worth talking about as I had no clue about it before.
