We ran without at COTA last time and it didn’t cause any issues.

Adam not to go off topic, but you’ve got more laps than anyone I know at COTA, can you comment on time difference with and w/o the turtles?

Good to hear cooling isn’t an issue, can you comment on what temps it was running exactly in the heat and being driven hard?

Oil got up to 260. Not alarming but we'd like it down 10-20 degrees

Have you guys compared manual shifting verses letting the computer do it?

No. Generally speaking letting the car select the gear is more so something that novice drivers do when focusing on improving braking points, line, entry speed etc etc.

I've tried it both ways and now I just leave it in D. I find that in drive it'll downshift in to second where normally I would just leave it in third but it works.

Sean you’re running stock tire sizes I believe, was wondering if it still acts right with non stock heights?

This DCT changes that. Raced with NASA for a decade, held a few regional class records, shifting manually is pointless with this car in track mode.

Stock fluid boiled in just a moderate session in intermediate group so make sure you flush that with something better. Stock pads worked ok for me but only lasted 6 1/2 sessions at VIR before being on the backing plates. I have the AP Racing kit on the way.

Have you ran it with non stock height tires? Curious if different tire heights change how well it works?

I debated revising that statement. Auto mode will work well if you are out having fun or perhaps amateur racing . When we go out testing we'll generally put in a flyer and in that scenario, at COTA, manual gear selection does count for time in places.

Endless RF 650 Fluid, Raybestos ST43 Pads. ST43's are pretty good, we've always run Cobalt but went with these due to time constraints, stock pads were only good for 500 street miles and a track day.

I have only tracked the car with OEM wheels/tires.

Here you go, Peter:

As good, if not an even better investment than the ST rotors!

None but we've been running stock headers for testing just because the computers are these cars are reallly sensitive. Testing at COTA this weekend again, we really didn't get enough info from the extremely hot half day in October so the car will remain pretty much the same for this weekend. Only changes are cat deletes, a non x pipe bullet style exhaust and giro disc 2 piece rotors. I'll let you know how it goes with the cat delete set up. Coilovers are still in development, that's something I'd rather totally dial in than rush to the market.
