Custom C3 Corvettes Are All Sorts of Cool

Taking the C3 Corvette and changing a few body lines is pretty easy, thanks to the Vette’s perpetual use of fiberglass for body panels. That skill is on brilliant display in this thread showing off some of our member’s C3 customization skills. And there’s more than a few that will draw out an audible “wow.”

One that stands out is a hybrid between the back end of a C3 and the curvy front end of a Cobra. A Corvobra? A Cobrette? That nickname is not for me to decide, but apparently the car was bought as shown in the picture above. Progress is shown in the gallery below in the form of the orange and yellow paint.

Another C3 in silver keeps the standard outside appearance, but may have the most unusual engine swap ever placed in a C3. Yep, your eyes do not deceive you, that’s a BMW V12 in there. We are all used to LS swaps, but this is about the only time I recall when an LS was swapped out of a Corvette. Either way, it looks magnificent, though it might be an acquired taste for some, and a hard pill to swallow if you prefer your cars to abide by factory spec.

There’s plenty more cool C3 customs on the forum, so head on in and check ’em out!
