Corvette Comparison: Stingray VS Stingray
Stingray versus Stingray, it is, as Edmunds states in the video below, “a comparison 50 years in the making.”
A few weeks ago, Edmunds compared a modern econobox commuter mobile, a 2015 Toyota Camry, with an original 1966 Corvette Stingray. As you might have seen from our article, things didn’t exactly go well for the 50-year-old sportscar. However, the host of the show, Carlos Lago, stated that given a choice between the two, he’d much rather have the Stingray. But of course, who wouldn’t?
That said, what happens when you pit the original Corvette Stingray against Chevy’s newest iteration of the classic sportscar, the C7 Corvette Stingray? Well, you get a comparison of the century. Not only do you get the good looks and classic styling from the original, but you get the high horsepower and amazing performance capabilities that only a new Corvette can offer.
Check out the video below and watch in envy as Carlos slides and throttles the two Corvettes around the track as if nothing else in the world mattered. This is what I picture heaven will look like.
